Madame Alexander Dolls

She is from the late 1950′s and is in mint condition. She has shiny brunette hair in perfect condition, beautiful face paint with very high color cheeks. Her body is quite perfect and her joints and knees work very well. She has the slightest bit of pink blushing on her bum from her red panties but it’s very, very slight and I thought is was factory blushing at first glance. Her dress is perfect and tagged and she doesn’t have her hoop petticoat on at the moment and it needs a bit of steam but it’s in perfect shape. Her hose are great, one small hole in the toe and her black shoe elastic is still quite good. She has no odors and has been packed away in a heated closet in a no smoking environment. Don’t you deserve a vintage CISSY doll for your special holiday GIFT… Just waiting for you to dress her in holiday glamour! She is NOT perfect nor mint but in very nice vintage condition. There are some minor reddish marks on her back and you may need to do some minor cleaning here and there… Nothing major at all. Cissy has a fancy hairstyle with some flyaways. There is a gap in the hair on left side of her head and you can see the wig fabric… Maybe the hair can be moved towards the center to close the gap. I added a better close-up picture of this flaw. Her eyes are green and not bright as they originally were. She has nice brows, cheek and lip color. Her stringing appears to be fine and her legs may be a walker-type… Her head has a tendency to move back down if you move it up. I do not notice any particular splits or cracks in neck, legs, and knees but her left outer knee shows a slight seam flaw. Her right elbow is not perfect but works. Doll is in very nice vintage condition with no offensive odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. I have tried to mention everything but please zoom pictures for more details as they are part of the description or ask questions. Cissy will be packed well in a box to protect her. Lovely collection of Cissy clothes ranging from undergarments to evening wear. I have displayed most of these at one time or another in my collection. They are not mint but do display well. There is one dress that is not original MA but it was made by a well-known seamstress of Cissy clothing (Chifforobe) and her requirements are nearly exact specs of MA. There is some jewelry, stockings, shoes (not all MA but vintage), hats (some original MA some not), sleepwear, dresses, gowns and fur stoles. The truck is in fair to good condition with some wear and light staining. The drawer is intact. There is one periwinkle colored short evening dress which is very hard to find. I do not have the jacket but have added a tulle wrap with a vintage pin. The pants and top have the rarer pink top instead of yellow. Please remember these items are vintage and are not perfect but are in good condition. The pink felt coat has fading and some moth holes and the pleated dancing gown has had the florals removed (which I have included). The navy taffeta dress looks like it was wet or laundered but may press out nicely. Those above-mentioned items would require the most attention. Most of the other things could go right on a doll. Dafoe And The Nurse (Who Took Care Of The Dionne Quintuplets). The dolls have very nice composition with some light crazing. Dafoe has painted eyes and the nurse has working eyes, not crackled. The height of the doctor is 14″ and the nurse is 13″. The doctor and the nurse dolls are not marked and their clothes are not marked. The blush color is on the knees, elbows, and top of their hands. The shoes, socks, and nurses hat (all original) were not taken off by me. The nurse has a one piece outfit with skirt, and the doctor has a one piece with a top. The dolls have stringing that has stretched over the years. She told me when she was 4 years old. She was sick with scarlet fever. She received the dolls and was not allowed to play with them. Small crack on inside upper arm. Small paint rub on back of left leg and left rear. Nose of glasses looks bent but, I believe that was the way they were made. Slight crazing on face. Light stains on hat. Small black spots on back of skirt. Tiny stain on front of skirt. Light stain on back collar and left sleeve. Right eye lid has missing paint. They come from a smoke free home. She has a blonde triple stitch wig in a flip style, blue sleep eyes, perfect rosy cheeks and red lips. She is wearing a tagged, clean and crisp cerise taffeta gown, black felt jacket with black beading, matching hat with feather plume and rose, petticoat, pantaloons, rayon socks and black velveteen side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. She is in Pristine Condition and is Very Rare. She comes with her original Madame Alexander doll stand. She comes from a Private Collection and was displayed only in a climate controlled, pet and smoke free environment. She is in Pristine Condition and is Simply Adorable!!! .
