Madame Alexander Dolls

She is not maker marked that I can see but she’s a Madame Alexander L Wendy Ann face with original Scarlett O’Hara labeled dress. She is all composition & is jointed at neck, shoulders, and hips with neck & shoulder joints being too loose to hold all poses. Her face paint looks original & doesn’t show any wear. She has vibrant blue sleep eyes with attached brown lashes intact. Scarlett does have some light crazing but not chips or crack separations found. There is a small flw to inner leg at joint & some minor rubwear around joints. Wig is original & still very nice; just a wee bit mussed. All of her garments are original with no visible stains or damage. There was a stitch repair done in back of dress at waistbsnd pulling it in too much & didn’t allow me to undress her for complete inspection & nude pics. Her garments are a bit dust soiled overall Don’t let her get away! I wouldn’t sell her if I didn’t have to! Hard to find, especially this nice & complete! NO DOLL STAND IS INCLUDED! Here is an original 18 portrait which I BELIEVE is Hulda from the transitional period about 1949. There is so little information about the Hulda doll, it is hard to be sure. This doll has the fancier face painting associated with Hulda. Her gown is more elaborate than most of the outfits associated with Hulda and it is likely very few have survived. She has the strung jointed head, arms and legs, marked on the back of the head “Alexander” an Alexander tag on the gown and a wrist tag. Her facial features are very distinct, skin colored in a satin finish, heavy dark feathered eyebrows, blue sleep eyes, full lashes, and a dark mohair wig. She wears a beige laced taffeta gown with puff sleeves, underclothes, long stockings, pink shoes, black lace mitts. A flowered straw hat and carries an Alexander “Fashion Award” hat box with contents as pictured. Overall the doll is in very good condition, as is the clothing, all as pictured.
