Beautiful Vintage Cissy Doll And Sheath Outfit Made By Madame Alexander In 1957

Here today is a gorgeous 20 inch hard plastic and vinyl Cissy doll wearing her original lavender sheath outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1957. Cissy is a painted beauty with her gorgeous crystal clear open and close vivid blue eyes, full set of hair lashes, painted lower lashes, stroked eyebrows, lightly blushed cheeks and coral painted lips. The whites of Cissy’s stunning eyes are very white and the blue is very blue with just a very tiny speck of green. She is in her original shiny blonde wig in its original set. Although it doesn’t appear her hair has ever been combed she does have a few fly aways. Cissy still retains some of the blush on her knees and backs of her hands. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her but her arms and fingers could use a light washing. Cissy’s fingers and toes are perfect and intact. It doesn’t appear she has any loose joints although her head has a slight wobble at times but that may be a characteristic of vintage Cissy’s. It doesn’t really feel loose or prohibit her from holding posses. As shown in the last picture she does have a small upper leg split that is pretty much up into the hip socket. I don’t see any other splits or cracks. Her knees and arms bend as they should. Cissy is wearing her original tagged 1957 beautiful silky satin lavender sheath dress with matching outer detachable full skirt. I don’t see any issues at all with her sheath dress that closes in the back with 5 original intact square snaps. It still has the original rose flowers at the V neckline with stand up collar and 3/4 length sleeves, lined in off white fabric. The detachable wrap skirt closes at the front with a single original square snap embellished with an attached matching bow, lined in off white fabric. The wrap skirt has a slight bit of a lighter color change near the front opening but does not show to much. To complete Cissy’s outfit she is wearing the beautiful correct open crown pale pink hat with 3 layers of netting, scattered flowers and a pink satin bow in at the back, her original silver stretch strap high heels, nylons and her faux diamond ring. As seen in a couple of pictures she is wearing an original flowered rhinestone earring. There are actually 2 of them included but both need to have new stems added before they can be worn. Cissy is wearing very nice vintage tagged undergarments, blue slip with lace hem, matching blue lace panties and a matching lace strapless bra that closes in the back with a hook and eye. They appear to have been made for the Cissy or other fashions dolls of that era. With the exception of the above mentioned issues beautiful Cissy and her gorgeous outfit are in excellent vintage condition. Although I don’t see any stains the outfit could probably stand to be dry cleaned and pressed. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless.
