Vintage 1957 Mme Alexander ELISE Bride Doll AO w/ Hangtag in Box. Scroll down for larger views. This doll is an Elise Bride, made by Madame Alexander in 1957, the first year of the Elise Bride dolls. She is 16 1/2” high, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbow, hips, knees & ankles. She has a gorgeous hard plastic Elise face. The coloring is wonderful with original paint, blue sleep eyes, intact lashes, feathered brows, lashes painted below her eyes, ruby lips, and very rosy cheeks. Her hair is auburn, still in the original curled set. The body is also excellent, hard plastic with vinyl over-arms and all joints working. She has a fashion doll body with a bust and high heel/flat feet. Marked: Alexander on her neck. Elise wears her original tagged bridal gown. The gown is white tulle with a satin sash, worn over a crispy white petticoat, white taffeta panties, seamed hose, a cute garter, and silver elastic strap high heel shoes. On her head is a chapel-length veil with a pink & white floral head band. She holds her matching floral bouquet, and wears her original pearl necklace & earrings, and a tiny wedding ring. She also comes with her original hang tag. Elise comes in her original box (#1740). The box and label are in very good condition. The original owners name (Julie) is written on the label. Everything about this doll is wonderful. She is clean, bright, and beautiful. Just slightly loose at the arms and loose elastic on her shoes. Otherwise pretty much mint condition.
