Rarely seen, wonderful FAO Schwarz Horse and Sleigh listed in 1960 FAO Schwarz catalog. Beautiful FAO Schwarz toy – gently played with but in lovely vintage condition. All reins, straps, and harness gear there. Nothing missing or torn. Not Mint but oh, soooo rare and complete as advertised in catalog. Some wear areas to green or red of sleigh. The glue holding the cream-colored, flocked surface of the plastic horse coat has lost the fuzzy flocking in some areas and there is some light staining to the coat over the back haunches. Contact me for additional photos of this. Leg wrappings and hooves of horse are in original condition also. Blonde mane and tail are full and original. The sleigh actually attaches to the horse as a real sleigh would. Description of Horse and Sleigh From 1960 FAO Schwarz catalog. ASLEIGHING WE WILL GO (Exclusive). A handsome flocked charger, standing 14″ high, is hitched to the 14″ deluxe wooden sleigh, luxuriously fitted with velvet upholstery and lined robe. Sleigh, painted red and green, has the gracefully curved lines that are traditional in old American prints. It makes a wonderful display centerpiece, as well as being a most unusual toy. The horse is festooned with red and white trappings and a string of bells. Riding proudly in the sleigh, her cheeks bright from the wintry air but her feet kept warm by the robe, is 16 Elise, beautiful and stylish in her fur jacket and matching hat. Jacket and matching hat. Here’s a stunning vintage Cissy doll all ready for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday parties. She is in very good condition and has the infused face color with rosy cheeks, eyeshadow and red lips. Her original auburn wig is beautiful in the upswept sides style. Her clear eyes open and shut and are mostly blue with a little green. All of her thick dark lashes are intact. She has no cracks or tears. There are a few normal rubs at the tops of her legs and on her neck. She is strung well. Her head tends to bob but she still holds poses nicely. It includes a black top decorated with gold sequins and a matching skirt made of tulle and dark blue satin. The tulle is decorated with large deep red polka dots. A gold belt with bow surrounds her waist. The hat is made of gold colored holly and ribbon. She also comes wearing a new crinoline, high heel shoes and her original panties. Gorgeous vintage 14 Marme doll. Eyes open and close as they should. She is super clean. No bad or sour smells. She has a small area on the right side of her head where you can see her scalp. I dont think this is a bald spot. I think the scalp is visible because if the way her hair is styled. So I believe all hair is present. I think her hair in the back should be covering the spot but its not. You can see that the hair is pulled back a little further on that side in the photos. Beautiful Cissy doll wearing her tagged HTF green dress with original shoes and crinoline. The hat is an extra–I don’t think it’s MA or vintage but it looks similar to the white cloche she wears with the dress sometimes, so I’m including it. Also included are a pink polished cotton bra and panty set. She has beautiful thick auburn hair with vintage bobby pins holding her curls behind her ears. She has no odors but has a slightly darker area on her wrist where she must’ve worn a bracelet that perhaps rusted. It might come off, but I didn’t try. She has no other damage. The dress is really really special. It’s hard to find in green and it’s in excellent condition with no holes or tears, and appears unwashed. There is an area in the bodice seam (see second to last pic) with lighter thread than the dress. It doesn’t look stitched or repaired–is it frayed perhaps? It’s almost undetectable–but the picture shows the area so please see that for more information. Includes her Madame Alexander vintage crinoline slip and shoes!! Who doesn’t love Cissy shoes, and these shoes are still in excellent shape. If you are a Madame Alexander collector, or love Cissy she will be a treat!! Please contact me with any questions.
