Madame Alexander Dolls

This lovely Madame Alexander doll is a must-have for collectors! With beautiful auburn hair and brown eyes that open and close, this girl doll comes with removable clothes and stands at 8 inches tall. She is 8 tall and is wearing her original blonde braided triple stitched wig. Her fluttering sleep eyes are clear blue and she has molded lashes. Her brows are light brown and she has painted under lashes.

I did not list much for quite awhile, as I was his caretaker. He and I were great collectors of many things. THIS BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF DOLLS ARE AT LEAST 70 YRS OLD. THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYED WITH, BUT STILL MOSTLY ORIGINAL AND SO PRETTY. CINDERELLA IS AS SWEET AS SHE CAN BE. PLEASE ENLAGE ALL PICS, AS THEY ARE HER BEST DISCRIPTION. HER EYES WORK PERFECTLY, AND HER HAIR LOOKS GREAT. HOWEVER, AS YOU CAN SEE, THE LINING OF HER GOWN HAS HOLES, HER SLIP NEEDS ELASTIC AND SHE IS MISSING HER HOSE AND SHOES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH DELICATE LITTLE THREAD CROCHETED SHOES, SOMEONE LOVINGLY MADE FOR HER AT SOME POINT. SHE HAS SOME MARKS ON HER LEGS AND MAYBE SOME SCUFFS OR RUBS HERE AND THERE. PRINCE CHARMING IS HER PERFECT MATCH AND SO HANDSOME WITH HIS BROCADE OUTFIT, INCLUDING HAT. HE HAS FABULOUS SOFT HAIR, ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE. THE ONLY THING I FIND WRONG IS HIS TIGHTS ARE SOILED, AS YOU CAN SEE IN PICTURE. THEY ALSO NEED NEW ELASTIC. IF YOU WANT ADDITIONAL PICTURES, JUST ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT. Please give them a good home. Please remember just how old these dolls are and played with. They may come with little marks, shiny patch or something minor. If I see anything obvious I will say so. Otherwise, please study pictures, they are the best description. She is dressed in a beautiful white pique cotton dress with print of red flowers, with white vintage val lace trim around neckline and sleeves and red grosgrain red ribbon sash. Underneath her dress is a white silky half slip with white tulle netting trimmed with red ric-rac on both sides of edge. White matching panties with lace trim. She is wearing reproduction tight nylon stockings with lace tops and red strap cissy shoes. She carries a handbag covered in black felt with red flower trim. Her hat is a Richard Original in red feathers with black net face veil. She has no jewelry except a rhinestone bracelet. She has a lovely face with full lashes, peach eyelids, cheek blush, green eyes and red mouth. Her hair is a medium blond color. She has one filled in small crack on outside of left leg, one on right leg and one crack on top of same leg high up inside. This has not been filled in. She is clean with no odors. Here is a lovely vintage 1950s Madame Alexander dressed blonde Cissette doll. She is wearing her original pink chemise lingerie. She also has pearl earrings & a hair clip in back that are slightly discolored. Her face is very pretty with great coloring & face paint; her blue sleep eyes open & close easily. She has a honey blonde triple-stitched wig pulled back in a bun. Her hard plastic body with bend legs is in good condition, but has darkened in some areas. Lovely Vintage 1960 Madame Alexander CISSY Doll dressed in the pink taffeta dress from the Trunk set. I’ve decided to downsize some of my personal collection and this is one of my beloved Cissy’s. Her major flaws are the elastic in her shoes have no stretch left in them and that will need to be repaired. Also, there is a hole in one of her stockings at the toe, but I will replace the stockings. These on her are the originals. These flaws are shown in one of the pics provided. The color version of this dress is the mauve pink taffeta with horizontal pleats and mutton sleeves. All of the flowers are accounted for with full undergarments. Now, look at her hair! Lovely blue eyes that function freely. She has no splits and ready to display in your home. She will come with her white hatbox with medallion tag and contents. She has clear blue eyes, full original eye lashes, ruby red lips, and rosy cheeks. She has a gorgeous brunette wig in original set. She wears her original chemise, vintage stockings, and vintage boudoir shoes. There are no leg splits or cracks to the knees or hips. She does have a thin separation in the crotch shown in the last photo. Her chemise is not tagged and not in mint condition. There are a few small holes in the lace shown in the photos, but all of the rhinestone and felt flower accents and snaps are present and intact. Lovely MADAME ALEXANDER-KINS 1953-54 Deep Pink BALLERINA OUTFIT w/Box. I dont know how long I have had this doll, probably 20 years or more and she has been stored away at least inside my home in climate controlled environment. She is not mint but at least in very good condition. Hair is a little mussed and flat, probably will want to air blow her off. Born in 1955, “Cissy Walks the Dog” is one of the early Cissy dolls from Madame Alexander. Dressed for a stroll down Park Avenue with her little pooch, she is in her complete and correct outfit, plus a few additions. The veiling on her hat is just awesome, and she is wearing a perfect wool jersey top with no moth damage. It is extremely difficult to find those tops without holes. This one does not have its Cissy tag, but is undeniably original. She will come to you with two skirts, and I’ll explain further down in the description. Her slip and panties are unwashed and still have crispness. Their original rayon-rubber elastic has been replaced by a prior owner, so no sagging waists in either. She has her excellent Cissy hose and the correct hot pink high heels with great elastic. Oh yes, and she has her pale blue tied-on pearls and “diamond” ring. And not to forget the pooch on a black velvet leash. Additions to her outfit are a black velveteen purse with gold chain handle and a vintage fur wrap that color matches with her top very well. The wrap has a clip on the underside for fastening purposes. I don’t know if it’s original or replicated, but it will be included with the doll. THE DOLL: Cissy had never been undressed in all the time I’ve had her, but I needed to do so to check everything out. She has no cracks in her hard plastic and no tears in her vinyl. She has original blush on her hands and knees, and her coloring is uniform. Her facial features all look to be original. She has lovely cheek blush, pretty blue eyes that open and close, good lip color, good brows and all of her brush and painted lashes. Her stringing is good and probably original, and her joints all work. I really don’t see any rubs on the inside of the legs at the top, which is rather remarkable. I don’t think she has been handled much during her lifetime. I have never done anything to alter it. I’m pretty sure this Cissy has the additional wig cap incorporated with her wig. I think the ones from 1955 were the only Cissy dolls that had this. She’s 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. A pretty girl–even in the nude. THE SKIRTS: When this Cissy became part of my collection, I took her out of her original velveteen skirt and used instead a “Walks the Dog” skirt that I already had. This was done simply because I though the magenta waistband and jewel embellishments were prettier on my skirt. She was then put in her spot in the doll cabinet. When I began taking photos for the listing several weeks back, a small disaster occurred when removing the skirt from Cissy. I was trying to undo the snap that was in the placket of the skirt. Even using my fingernails, it was very contrary, and when I finally got it open, I somehow had caused a tear in the velveteen right alongside the seam binding of the placket. But a kind, sympathetic and very skilled seamstress came to my rescue (or Cissy’s) and did a great repair job. So Cissy is still in my preferred skirt, but her original skirt, which has no problems, will come along with her. And it doesn’t have a pesky snap in the placket to deal with. I have pictures of her original skirt if you request them. I have also been advised that the fabric Alexander used in these particular skirts tends to become fragile over time. THE HAT: As mentioned earlier, the hat has wonderful veiling. It also has the little black metal decoration on the back. The hat has its original thin black elastic chin strap which has lost some stretch. It can be put under her hair in the back for some stabilization or not used at all. Once the doll is in place, the hat will stay on her head with no problems. I feel like the little strap is fragile and shouldn’t be stressed. If you’re in the market for a “Cissy Walks the Dog, ” you would have to look a long time to find one this nice. She’s incredible at the age of 65.
