Madame Alexander Dolls

Fabulous composition, closed mouth Jane Withers – friend (or perhaps nemesis) to Shirley Temple. She has some crazing various places on her face, but not noticable on display. Crazing is practically a given with composition. You either love it or run from it. There’s an indentation spot on the back of her arm that looks to have been from the factory or perhaps a repair by someone (not me). I made her little beret, as she would likely have had one. I also bought the book separately, to go with her. Polished canvas shoes are wonderful, but someone put an inventory sticker on the sole of one. When I try to remove, it starts to tear the sole. I’m going to remove it and repair any discoloration. The little dress is lovely in color brightness and condition. I only see some scattered holes in her white cotton onesie (slip and attached panties). Jane’s mohair wig is perfection! It still retains its waves and curls. It’s almost a wine color. Very pretty vintage 24 hard plastic Winnie Walker walker doll. Her dress is tagged. I believe the dress was blue and has faded. She is all original but I think her bonnet is added. All hair and eyelashes are present. Her eyes open and close as they should. Her walking mechanism still works great. Her body and clothes are clean. Nice bright rosey cheeks.
