Gorgeous Madame Alexander 20 Cissy Doll in Original Tagged Gown 1955. Cissy has a hard plastic socket head, torso and legs with jointing at hips and knees Her arms are vinyl with shoulder and elbow jointing. She has green with a hint of amber colored eyes, full lashes, auburn hair with curly bangs and full curls in the back. Her original hair net is still attached securing her curls. She has a flawless high color face paint and her sleep eyes work well. She is wearing an aqua blue satin gown with flared full skirt, capelet sleeves, sequin, sapphire and braid trim described in the 1955 catalog as “blue satin slyly kissed with rhinestone stars”, lavender taffeta and tulle petticoat with blue satin edging, panties, stockings (Stockings and shoes have never been removed), silver sling heels, rhinestone bracelet (it has been repaired but, looks amazing) and ring. She has her original coronet of dainty flowers on a silver frame. There may be a few flowers missing from the center of her coronet. The satin gown is tagged “Cissy” Alexander and is very rare to find with this original coronet. She has her original bands and all joints are secure with none loose. She poses and displays nicely. No hips or joint splits. A few minor flaws to mention. She has an extra dip of paint near her right eye. It looks to be a factory flaw. Please view the photo as it can be seen. Not at all noticeable when displayed but, I try to mention all important details. There are some faint discolorations on her left wrist under her bracelet from her bracelet. It may be removable with cleaning. The elastic on her petticoat is stretched out. Her gown is amazing and all the stones are present. At some point, her gown would benefit from a professional cleaning. Any and all discolorations due to age and storage are barely noticeable. The gown has had a few stitches repaired at a seam that had some loose. She has a few faint scuffs on her chest from the rhinestone brackets on her dress. Cissy is absolutely dreamy and would be a crowning jewel in any doll collection. Please view all the photos provided as they are a large part of the description. Featured here is an exquisite vintage Madame Alexander Elise Bride Doll, a beautiful blonde with shining flip curls in their original set and short waved bangs. She stands just over 15 inches tall with her veil. She is dressed in her original tiered lace ruffled gown which is TAGGED at the back ; see photos. S he has a wonderful long cathedral length veil with lace trim and a lace and tiny pearl trimmed cap. There is a beaded flower in pearls at each side, at the temple. The bridal cap is edged in pleated chiffon, a lovely vintage feature on this doll’s outfit. She has her original satin high heels; her original pantyhose split so they will not be included. NOTE: The bridal veil, satin panties and slip are all edged in the same PLEATED CHIFFON and match. The cathedral length veil, panties and slip are all ORIGINAL to her 1960s bridal doll attire. This doll can be displayed with the long veil flowing back behind her, or pulled over her head to the front — to show off to advantage the beautiful fabric flowers across the back of her lovely blonde wig. I have added a necklace of vintage graduated pearls to her bridal outfit and she has pearl drop earrings. She has a large satin bow at her waist in the front of the gown. I have also added a very full, very stiff vintage double layer lace and tulle slip to her outfit; it has an elastic at the waist and makes her very long, very full skirt display beautifully. This doll has the Madame Alexander “Marybel” Elise face with rosy cheeks, peach lips and beautiful mouth that is slightly turned down at the corners. She has fingernail polish in peach that matches her lips. She has painted two-stroke light brown brows, and all her brush dark eyelashes. She has open and close radial eyes in hazel blue grey. Her eyes are very clear with no “smokiness” from age at all. This doll’s wig is amazing; it is a burnished shining blonde, with tight curls in their original set all way round her head. She has short wavy blonde bangs. Her wig is double stitched at the crown of her head. Her body is the original vintage MA Elise multi-jointed body with joints at the ankles, knees, hips, neck and shoulders. She has wonderful even body coloring, no fading or yellowing or deep pink hue that some of these vintage dolls can get. I have had this doll stored in a darkened doll room inside a closed glass case, so she is very clean. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE. I take great care to wrap my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. I add box supports, air pillows, and bubble wrap to protect them in transit. NOTE: I will include a doll stand so that she will be ready for display on arrival. She will be insured and have signature confirmation to ensure she arrives to you safely. Blush has been very lightly professionally enhanced. Her hair does have fly-always and is flattened in back from storage. I believe she is from 1958. Certain of the Cissy fashions require this crimped hair wig, and it is not easy to find. A really pretty one to dress! Doll does have holes for earrings.
