Madame Alexander Dolls

I don’t believe it has ever been on a doll. Consisting of a long sleeve white lace blouse lined in pale pink organdy. The blouse has a Peter Pan collar, and closes down the front with three rhinestone buttons. The slacks are black velvet with a gold elastic waistband which is in excellent stretchy condition. They close on the side with 2 snaps. The pink silky waist sash with pearl bead decoration wraps around the waist and snaps with a hidden snap. There are a couple of very light yellow spots on the sash, probably due to age & storage. I’m sure this would come out with a little soak and drip drip dry. The pieces in this outfit are not tagged (I have this outfit as well and they’re not tagged either) I do guarantee this set, without question, to be original Madame Alexander Cissy. This was a very popular style back in the 50′s. The set is complete and in its original box which is in great condition as well with the original tissue. A beautiful set in its original box! The doll is pictured on page #97 of the Cissy R. ” by Kiley Shaw wearing a “Birdcage dress. Need I say more her dolls are amazing. The doll is an early painted doll with beautiful face coloring, clear blue eyes, full eyelashes, rosy cheeks and ruby red lips. Her dress is the floral print yellow organdy with no birds. The dress pictured in Cissy Reference Rarities Restoration, is not this dress. This dress is a different version of the same dress that I had in my collection. It is with a heavy heart that I list this Cissy doll for sale as she is one of my favorites. The doll and dress are in excellent to near mint condition. The doll is very clean there are no cracks, splits, or odors. She does have rubs on the upper legs but in my opinion they are minimal. If you would like more pictures please ask. There are no holes, rips, tears, stains, or odors to the doll’s clothes. The Madame Alexander outfit includes the VHTF tagged dress, original panties, original taffeta tulle trimmed slip, and original nylons. The dress is crisp and lovely trimmed with val lace and all of the snaps are present. The slip is still crisp with no issues. The panties are excellent with no holes above the legs which are often found, but there is a pin dot size mark on the front of the panties. The nylons are minty no holes or runs slightly stretched on the top of one leg. The yellow shoes are replacements and a pearl necklace and bracelet are also included. Im pleased to offer this extremely rare, and hard to find Gay Nineties purple Godey portrait doll. Cissy is from 1959. She is the strung doll with the slender non jointed arms. Lovingly referred to by collectors as the no neck Cissy. 21 tall with an adult body, and high heeled feet. All original doll to the tagged costume. This girl is so rare, that collectors sometimes have to find bits and pieces of this particular doll. Cissy wears her original costume consisting of her dress, slip, panties, hose, and jacket, as well as her hat. Okay, where was I? The tulle on her hat has been replaced. Im sure flowers have also been added to the hat as well as the jacket. Look at that jacket! She wears lace gauntlets, as well as her original earrings. The dress is pink taffeta, and it has been laundered and pressed. Not the best thing for vintage taffeta. There are wrinkles that I didnt try to iron out. There is a pin hole at the bodice that doesnt go all the way through the lining. It is also covered by the rest of the costume. A few small pinholes in the skirt. Also a few dark smudges along the back. Meaning, there is so much positive going on, I dont really get hung up on that. Use your own discretion though. Purple elastic sandals are newer. Cissy is in great condition. Many of these dolls have yellowed and their heads have split at the seams on the sides. Cissy has had very light blush added, and its been professionally sealed. Pretty, long, full auburn wig. Blue sleep eyes that stick slightly. One side of her eyelash curls up a bit. The lashes could be replaced so they wouldnt do this, but I say leave her as original as possible. You wont find this doll again in the near future. Ive probably only seen a handful in the past 20 years. She is extremely rare, and because shes not perfect, Im offering her for a great price. Thank you for looking. This Doll comes with.
