Madame Alexander 16-inch Marilyn Monroe “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” fashion doll, with the highly articulated “Alex” body and Amanda head sculpt, released in 2009. This doll is seriously pretty, a very limited edition of only 350 dolls. This Madame Alexander Marilyn Monroe doll has 18 points of articulation: wrists, elbows, ankles, and toes, using the Alex fashion doll body. She has fantastic facial makeup with rooted eyelashes, blue eyes, blonde wavy hair pageboy styled and a beauty mole located near her almost-red lips. Her iconic hot pink strapless gown is high-end taffeta fabric with a huge pink bow (lined in black) at the back of the gown. Please don’t miss the opera length hot pink gloves! All glitz and glamour!! This screen accurate costume is actually prettier than Marilyn’s original movie gown to me. The doll has nude pantyhose under the gown and black, strappy, patent leather sandals completes her outfit. The doll’s accessories include a faux diamond bracelet for each wrist, faux diamond necklace and earrings. Also included is a Certificate of Authenticity and branded stand. The stand is awesome, has a quick change feature to allow for the doll to wear high heels or flat shoes. Please look at the pics, this doll is a beauty from head to toe. The box is not perfect and has minor wear consistent with shelf wear and its age. The clear cover has yellowed on several sides, was like that when I bought it. Otherwise, the cover and box are in good condition, no bends, scrapes, rips or tears, see pics and zoom in.
