Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a Sonja Henie Vintage Doll comes complete with the original clothing, hair bow, hair pins and skates. Her black velveteen dress has gold colored sequins and matching hair bow. Her ice skates have missing blades and the gold trim is peeling off the boots. Her hair still has her hair pins in and there is light crazing on the doll in certain spots. Her slip is torn underneath her dress. Underpants are in fair condition. She has one eye lash that appears to be colored differently. Her eyes operate as they should and are clear. Her arms, legs and neck are secure. Some minor marks on legs. This was my Mother’s doll from when she was a child in the 1930′s. The doll sat in a baby cradle for many years with a clear plastic bag around it. She stands approximately 18 tall. Please see pictures as they serve as the condition and description. Super nice 13″ MADAME ALEXANDER “JANE WITHERS closed mouth composition doll. This little gem is in exceptional condition for a composition doll. Under magnification she has some minor crazing on her right arm inside elbow and some slight craze on her left lower leg. Looks like she bonked her nose tiny nick under magnifier and her upper lip has a teeny tiny nick and craze line. Black line on side of nose is a mark not a craze. Her face is beautiful. Small nick on one finger and one toe. Her little hands show flesh color wear on fingertips. Her eyes are brown. They open and close well. Her hair is a wine color and is a bit wild. I believe her clothes and shoes are original. Dress on the top has a few pulls in the gauze and shows yellowing. Socks inside the shoes has staining. The elastic on on her undies has lost its stretch. Slip is attached to dress and is good. Her painted eyebrows and lower painted lashes show wear. One eyebrow is almost gone. Her upper real eyelashes look good. The doll needs to be restrung. She’s pretty loose. Signed on back of her head JANE WITHERS ALEXANDER DOLL CO. This set is all original and has been cleaned and restrung. These dolls are hard to find wearing the loop lace party dresses. Clothing has been freshly laundered and pressed. The dresses are all tagged “Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets, New York, NY”. Clothing tags are all crisp and clear, and I have not noticed any holes or tears on any of the outfits. The ribbons in the dolls hair are replacement one’s which matched the same style as the original. Dolls still have their original brass safety pins on clothing, as well as their ORIGINAL brass name pins with each of the girl’s names: Annette, Cecile, Emelie, Marie, and Yvonne. Dolls still have their ORIGINAL shoes. The shoes snaps and soles are in great condition with no repairs!!! These doll have had their composition cleaned and then they were professionally restrung. All the 8 dolls and hard to find wood scooter are in fabulous condition! All have their original tagged outfits, shoes and socks with original metal pins. All the faces, heads and legs are free of crazing and there are no rubs on the painted features, no repaint or repair. I have not taken off the clothes as it looks that they have never been removed so I’m guessing the bodies are just as nice as the faces and legs. They all seem strung just right. Wooden scooter still retains all their decal names, no breaks. The 2 back red wooden wheels have some paint loss, nothing major.
