DOLL IN BOOK IS WEARING A DIFFERENT HAT, AS STATED. THIS DOLL IS A BEAUTIFUL BLOND WITH A UNIQUE HAIRDO(PIC), CURLS PULLED ON TOP WITH A BLACK VELVET BOW. OUTFIT CONSISTS OF A PINK TAFFETA DRESS, TAGGEDALEXANDERKIN BY MADAME ALEXANDER (PICTURE), PINK TAFFETA AND LACE TRIM PANTIES, WHITE SOCKS AND BLACK SUEDE SIDE BUTTON SHOES. I DO NOT SEE A TAG ON THE COAT, AND I HAVE NEVER REMOVED THE COAT/CLOTHING. IT IS A DARK PURPLE VELVET WITH WHITE TAFFETA LINING, LARGER ROUND COLLAR, THREE PEARLY WHITE BUTTONS WITH PURPLE THREAD. THE HAT IS A LIGHT LAVENDER STRAW WITH MULTI COLOR PURPLE/LAVENDER FLOWERS, GOLD CHIN STRAP. ON THE BACK OF THE HAT THERE ARE TWO PLEATS TO GIVE IT A MORE SQUARE LOOK. IT IS REALLY UNIQUE AND SPECIAL ALEXANDER HAT. ALL CLOTHING IS IN EXCELLENT , CRISP, CLEAN CONDITION. TO MY EYE IT IS MINTY, WELL PRESERVED FOR 60+ YEARS. THE ALEXANDER BOX IS THE ONE SHE CAME WITH, ALTHOUGH, NOT CERTAIN IT IS “HER” ORIGINAL? BOXES WITH INCORRECT LABEL WERE USED FOR DOLLS ON OCCASION. Rare, Hard to Find. All Original 1953 Madame Alexander 18″ “Queen Elizabeth II” Doll from the “Glamor Girls Series. This doll is Royal Elegance!! Her Hair is Exquisite!! She has her Crown with Rhinestones, Rhinestone earrings, 3 Rhinestone Bracelets, and her Queen Sash with Pearls and Rhinestones. Her Brocade Taffeta or Satin Gown has a design of Ribbons and Flowers. It is Clean and Crisp, Never washed, but does have some age spots. She also has her Long Hoop Slip, Panties, Nylons, and Fuzzy Sole Center Snap Shoes. She was Never played with and has been packed away nicely for many years. Her crown is missing one side where it attaches to her hair. She is a Margaret Face Hard Plastic Walker Doll. This is the “Child’s Dream Comes True” series. Her dress, crinoline, panties, stockings and floral crown are original. I have added flowers from a 1956 Alexander hat to fill in her floral crown. I made her silver bracelet and her fan from a vintage jewelry finding. She wears vintage shoes that have had the elastic replaced. She wears a vintage “diamond” ring and I have replaced her missing “diamond” earrings. She will come with a replica of the 1955 Alexander tag. The dress is in very good shape, just some small rubs to the fabric. Elastic is stretched on her panties. Elastic has been replaced on her crinoline. Floral crown is faded but lovely. No stains on her clothing at all. Three rhinestones on her dress have darkened with age. The doll herself is in very good condition. Lashes are full and perfect. Hair still in hairnet with metal bar. Tiny scratches on her left upper thigh below the joint as shown. No splits or cracks at all. Ask any questions you may have. This is a wonderful example of this doll! 1939 17 Alexander SCARLETT O’HARA Gone with the Wind composition doll. She has fine crazing all over but no chips or breaks or lifting. Marked alexander on the back of her neck. Whites of eyes have darkened with age, they do “sleep”, she has nice upper real lashes and painted lower lashes. Some paint loss on lower lip (see pic). She is wearing her original tagged outfit which is in very nice condition. Includes dress, slip, pantaloons, socks, shoes and hat. Her hat does have cracks (see pics), but to me it doesnt take away from her beauty. Her shoes do have paint loss (see pic). Very nice displayed condition, please check all the pictures carefully. Some have never been removed from box, some have been displayed and then placed back in the box and others were displayed and I don’t have the box. They all are in amazing condition! Clean and odor free.
