We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 1958 vintage Madame Alexander 20 complete hard plastic vinyl strung Kelly doll. She is lovely for display and is still nicely strung. You may want to have her restrung eventually. You can see she was able to stand with assistance of a doll stand, which we will not include. Her arms do not hold a pose. Her legs are loose. She can hold her head without drooping. She displays nicely in her custom made, original, and tagged blue dress. Her dress and panties are bright and attractive clothes with well attached buttons on the dress. You can see her panties snap at the waist, and they show no wear, discoloration, or age. Her original socks are bright and white, but you can see somehow her socks are now mismatched. Her original black soft velvet Mary Jane shoes fit her well, and they are totally intact. She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. She is free of any odors, issues, or blemishes. Her honey color hair is still tied back in a replacement bow with a lovely style. Her hair is full with no missing plugs. Her face is an even color with a bright and even blush. Her sleep eyes open and close easily; they are unclouded with totally intact eyelashes. She shows no noticeable age or discoloration. The original adult owner enjoyed dressing and undressing the dolls in her collection. We left her as is to preserve her in the original found condition. She shows nothing detracting from her displayable condition. Her waist twists beautifully. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, splits, or obvious damage. She does not have any open seams or major noticeable detracting negatives. Her hair is uncut and close to the original style. We listed two other Edith/ Kelly/ Marybel face dolls this week from the same collection. She is truly one of a kind in her condition. Her face is colored exactly the same as her limbs. Her lips and cheeks are highly blushed. Her lips are full and pink. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls from an adult lady collector. She is moving and downsizing her vast doll collection. Many of the these dolls are from the 1920s through the 1960s; they may show some minor age for their age because they are between 100 and 60 years of age. Many of these were from the original owner’s collection of displayed, but not played with, dolls. Some of the older dolls were from her mother’s collection. We offer for your consideration a gently displayed, vintage 1955 through 1959 Cissy doll with her original panties and slip. Her sewed on outfit and sewed on red boots were designed and created by the courturiers of the Ice Capades in a minature model of the authentic costume. This is a prototype actually worn in one of the extravaganza shows. Most researchers of these Cissy Ice Capades costumes believe there is only one costume made for each show. You can see that she was well preserved and treated like a queen. She is from a pet and smoke free home. Her unclouded eyes are bright, engaging, and the eyelashes framing her eyes are intact. — —-You can see that the eyelashes on her left eye are full, but they are separated leaving a little space between the lashes. Her eyebrows are faded, but they still display well. Her lovely hair is glued onto a thick muslin cap. It appears very full with no missing or thinning areas. The style now pulls some hair away from the back left side of her scalp, which can be restyled to create a more full appearance. It appears even the little thread tie backs in her hair are original. She still has some of her curls. –Her two tone eyes are exquisite and framed by totally intact molded eyelashes and lower painted lashes. Her lips are full and unfaded. Her skin tone is light and even throughout all of her face, the torso I can get a view of, her arms, and legs. I can see she is free of splits or cracks in her plastic legs or her soft vinyl arms. Her hands, arms, and legs could use a gentle cleaning. Her hair net is still attached, but I did not want to remove it or pull it over her hair because I do not want to pull at her stringing. —–This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to very displayable as you can find for a 65 year-old doll. You can see that I did not remove her clothing because her clothing was never removed. It is all sewn on to her- the bodice, skirt, and apron are secure with stitches. The dress shows multiple deteriorated areas, but from the waist and up is impressive. The crisp and multi-layer slip is still bright, very clean, and still has a stretchy elastic waist. The panties appear never removed and still bright with stretchy waist. —-She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her head poses nicely, but it is not the most stable connection. Someday you will want her head restrung. Her arms and legs are still the poseable vinyl plastic and still ready to pose for you, even after all of these years of display. —Although her dress shows major noticeable signs of age related discoloration, it is still incredibly rare and beautiful. I do not see any obvious missing areas of sequins. You can see some of the faded areas on the patches of her dress. Her crown is a fantastic piece of history in itself. It appears complete and amazing. It does have several pin holes in inconspicuous places. Thank goodness it was pinned on, it would have been lost. —She shows no damage, chews, stains, marks, or splits. I did not remove her clothing, but I was able to check her over visually. I assure you she is complete and whole. –We are consigning hundreds of similar dolls for this owner. Her face paint is beautiful with full lashes top and bottom, good brows, rosey cheeks and light pink coral lips. Stringing seems good and she holds a pose. She is in unplayed with condition. Madame Alexander 10 Cissette Doll from the 1950′s. 1950′s Madame Alexander LISSY Doll In Original Tagged Dress. Sweet Lissy is approximately 11 tall with jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. She is made of hard plastic and in fantastic condition. No chew marks, stains, or damage. She has auburn hair in its original hair set, double stitch row on top, original hair bow, with some slight lifting of the wig near her ears, and some wig material showing (see photo) Her green sleep eyes work well. She comes wearing her original Lissy tagged pink and white stripe cotton shirtwaist dress with black bows, decorative buttons with scallop design down the front. No rips, or tears. She comes wearing her original sunhat that’s adorned with pink silk flowers and original gold neck strap. The strap is a bit stretched but, overall the hat is in excellent condition. She will need a new pair of shoes. Lissy is simply darling and a beautiful doll to display in your doll collection. I will be listing more “Lissy” fashions this week.
