This listing is for a genuine Madame Alexander “Sunbeam” baby doll, c. This rare 19-inch baby girl possesses a soft vinyl head, lower arms, and lower legs. This precious baby also has a cloth torso, upper arms, as well as upper legs with floppy joints at her shoulders and hips. She features blue plastic sleep eyes with synthetic fiber upper lashes and painted lower lashes and eyebrows. Sunbeam also is depicted with an open/closed mouth with pink painted lips and red tongue. Her rosy checks and molded brown hair only adds to her innate charm. Sunbeam dons an intricate christening gown and bonnet with delicate embroidery and cutwork pattern. No tags, but Sunbeam’s ensemble looks similar (if not the same) to the photo on page 91 of Patricia Smith’s Madame Alexander reference book. It is period perfect, in any case. Sunbeam also includes a cry box in her back that works well! Overall excellent, preowned condition with no damage or blemishes to her vinyl. Minimal to no paint losses. Her christening gown is also free of cosmetic damage or foul odors. Marked on the back of her neck: ALEXANDER. Precious Sunbeam is very clean considering that she is over 70 years old. You do not see many of these genuine, early 1950′s Sunbeam dolls with WORKING CRY BOXES on the secondary market. This little baby girl has traveled around the world, and is ready to settle into a new home with you! From the home of a discerning doll collector. Please reach out with any questions, or reasonable offers.
