This is the most gorgeous doll! Her color is really good! Her body is in great shape also. I don’t think she was played with much. She does have a couple of spots on her head you have to pull her hair back to see them. She also has a couple faint marks on her ankles. You can only see them if you remove her booties and look real close. Her crier still works. Her dress , slip and bonnet are original. I think her diaper is original also. Her booties are hand crocheted just for her. She comes with her kitty cat. They just don’t make dolls and doll clothes like this anymore. Madame Alexander made the most beautiful dolls. Her dress and bonnet are made of swiss bastise and swiss lace. I have been trying to duplicate her designs using the same fabric and lace and it gets very expensive. The price of fine fabrics and laces are very expensive now. It is getting harder to find these beautiful dolls from the 60′s. The doll bed and bedding are not included. Madame Alexander to me made the most beautiful and high quality dolls! This beautiful pussycat doll is all original with her tagged dress and slip. She looks like she was never played with. I’ve had for a really long time. I have washed her dress and hair. She still retains her original hair style even her little curls are still in their tie. She is a rare find. They just don’t make dolls like this anymore! Finding one in this condition is Priceless! She has had a small seam repair. Also her ma ma crier still works beautifully! She makes the cutest cat meow cry. The only thing that is not original to her is her panties. I can’t believe she still has both her shoes and socks! Her vinyl is still soft and not faded. She does have a slight stain on her leg barely noticeable in her pictures. She is signed and dated. Baby Doe has gorgeous hair. In fact her hair was so pretty and I was enjoying taking pictures that I totally forgot to take a picture with her with her hat on. You can see the hat in the box when shes in her box. She does include her hat. She has such fun old fashion clothes and even her boots. Photo frame in first picture not included. Absolutely beautiful 1962 Madame Alexander baby McGuffey baby doll. Wears a light pink and white dress and light pink bloomers. Dress, bloomers and bonnet are in excellent condition. She is in excellent like new condition. Eyes open and close. 19 from head to feet. Only issue is left eye is a little hazy. Box is in good condition. However the box does not match. Offering this beautiful vintage Madame Alexander baby doll, Baby Kathy, circa 1961. She is a soft vinyl drink/wet doll with a cryer, blue sleep eyes, molded hair and jointed arms, legs and head. What a sweet doll! She is marked Alexander on the back of her neck. Measures 17-1/2 inches long. Condition notes – please see all photos and ask questions if something is not clear. The top of her head has a bit of damage, hair color worn and small damage to the vinyl. There’s a bit of wear to her hair color all the way around. Bit of color loss on her lower lip, mouth and right cheek. Eyes open and shut easily but left eye has a little whiteness under the eyelash; you have to look for it. Cryer works when squeezed. Has original paint on it, marked Frey Mfg. Arms and legs are a little sticky when moving them, overall she’s a little tacky to the touch. She’s very clean, though. No bad odors, faint whiff of vinyl the smell of my and so many of our childhoods! Found wearing this dotted swiss organza pink dress with white lace trim, blue embroidery, peter pan collar and tiny pink buttons. Three metal snaps fasten in the back. Under the dress, she wears a cream-colored satin slip and panties. Two metal snaps fasten in the back. Slip is trimmed in same white lace and has the same blue embroidery. Panties’ waist elastic has lost it’s elasticity and they have a pink stain (1/4 spot). Otherwise, clothes are clean, free of tears, holes or other problems. She was found wearing a pink/cream cotton kerchief which I will send along just to protect her head; I didn’t photograph her in it. No shoes or socks. Wonderful set of Dionne Quintuplets dating from the 1930s when the girls were at their most famous and the whole world was fascinated. The perfect set to grace any doll collection. I have been told that the maker was Madame Alexander however I cannot see any markings to this effect. They are however very rare and precious. Condition – All of the girls have suffered from crazing to their composition which you would expect given their age. They all have little painted faces and their legs cross over like little newborns. They have all had little outfits handmade for them and have been lovingly looked after by their little owner. The babies are in a wicker basket with little cots fashioned for each of them with tiny quilts and pillows. At the bottom of their cribs there is a section for their clothes and accessories. There are various little belongs in each of these sections. At the bottom of their cribs is homemade name tags for each baby which have been pinned in place. Yvonne, Annette, Marie, Cecille and Emille. Their basket has been well preserved along with the contents but condition is consistent with the age of this rare piece. They are extra charming as you can tell that they were very much loved and their little owner must have had the most amazing fun with them. I travel all over on my quest, my trouble is I find it hard to part with most of my finds, having said that needs must and all that so keep checking in for my latest delights.
