Madame Alexander Dolls

This is an 18″ (including top of hair) Madame Alexander “NINA BALLERINA doll probably from 1948 but not sure. She wears her original pale pink tutu with gold rick-rack trim and on her underskirt and panties. Tutu is tagged as pictured. I do not notice any tears or stains in the tutu or underslip. Nor did I see any cracks in her body. Please note that there is a factory flaw with lip color as pictured. There is a small worn area at the back lower waist gold rick-rack as pictured. The elastic in the underslip with attached panties has relaxed over the years but still stays up. Her ballerina slippers and ribbons are showing their age. Nina’s hair is pretty much in original set. The floral trim on the tutu is worn and aged. Her tutu will need to be steamed and you may want to replace the floral trim and add some to her hair. Doll and clothing have no bad odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. Margot is an all original 14 Madame Alexander Ballerina from 1951. She is a straight leg walker and has a blonde wig, blue eyes, thick lashes and bright original face color. She wears a pink tulle and satin tutu with rhinestone appliqués on the bodice. In her hair she wears a cluster of original flowers and original hair net. I don’t think her shoes and stockings have ever been removed. She even has her original arm bands, which are so often missing on this doll. The tulle dress is one layer and then there is another layer of tulle attached to the bloomers. The dress is tagged “Madame Alexander” and is crisp and unfaded. No stains on her dress. She is so crisp and mint but let me note a few items: Wig is lifting on the left side of her face. Shoes have darkened at the edges, I imagine from the aging of the glue that holds them together. She has a rub on her left arm right at the socket and a few light marks on her chest right below the neckline of her dress, not visible when dressed. Her eyes open and close smoothly but every so often the left eye sits back further in her head than the right eye when closed. It does not happen every time and has not happened when open. This is a wonderful 1955 Madame Alexander-kins Doll wearing an Alex-kins tagged ballerina Outfit. She is SLW kins which means she is a straight leg walker. She is in excellent condition with original dark blonde triple stitched. Wig, brown brows, light green flutter eyes, black under lashes, molded lashes, pink blushed spa cheeks and red lips. Spot on her black lash was a dirt spot and removed. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. Wendy is wearing a kins tagged taffeta, rhinestone blue net outfit, replaced undies, kins fuzzy bottom satin s. Hoes and vintage hair flowers. Outfit is in excellent condition and all set to display. R 1948 Near Mint Madame Alexander Nina Ballerina. In Rare Tagged Yellow Tutu. This exquisite beautiful ballerina is one of the gems in my collection and is in near mint condition. She has her original stringing, which is still at exactly the right tension. Starting with her head, Nina has the lightest blond flaxen hair with her hair upswept into a top chignon with her headdress of yellow flowers and one cabbage rose. She should have two more. Her bangs could use a wee bit of curl – an easy fix. Ninas face is beyond exquisite and one of the best Ninas I have ever seen. Lovely matte peaches and cream complexion, high colour rouge, beautiful red lips and the bluest of eyes. Ninas rare yellow tutu is crisp with no wilting. Nina comes with pale pink ballet tights/stockings. Again rare for this line of Ninas. There is the tiniest of holes on her camera right leg. Her pink ballet slippers do show some age wear which is to be expected. Nina is an ex Lia Sargent Doll, though the paper work has been lost to time. No need to be concerned about packing.
