A 1957 Madame Alexander Cissy Doll Mint in her Original Box. If you have never seen a MIB Cissy Doll, she is a Vision to behold. A 60+ year time capsule. When you open the box you will travel back in time and experience the Joy you felt when you opened your 1st Cissy doll. She has blonde hair in the specially styled wig with fully curled bangs, spanner bar and rolled under pageboy in the back still in the hair net. She has Stunning crystal blue eyes with full lashes, perfect high color cheeks and red lips. She is wearing a tagged navy taffeta dress with natural waist, rounded neckline and gathered tulle at the armholes, 3 tiered organdy capelet, ivory horsehair hat with bunches of tiny ivory flowers, lace gloves, lace petticoat (the elastic is relaxed), seamed stockings, taffeta panties with lace trim and black strappy heels. Her jewelry includes faux pearl drop earrings, rhinestone pocket watch and rhinestone bracelet. She has her hangtag and she is known as Navy with tiered capelet 1957 # 2141. Her box is marked Cissy # 2141, blonde. The box is in poor condition as it has protected Gorgeous Cissy for over 60 years. This is another one of those times… And here is one of the most elegant creations I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning for Cissy… Of course, coming from donnascreations4you. This extraordinary black net gown with its ruched bodice and pleated straps, boasts a gorgeous triple-toned brooch. It gives way to a very full skirt embroidered with dainty light pink & ivory flowers & leaves. The scalloped hemline and matching stole are such a beautiful “finish” to a most stunning ensemble! Underneath Cissy wears a slip almost as extraordinary as her dress; made with black lace-lined satin & pink ribbon-trimmed tulle, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Matching black panties, vintage hosiery & original Cissy black sandals make “the look” complete. Finally, Cissy accents with gold & pink rhinestone earrings, a pink rhinestone bracelet & a faux “diamond” ring, and she carries vintage black gloves & a matching lucite purse with a gold strap. This Cissy is soft, elegant & absolutely gorgeous. Her features & coloring are beautiful and her blush has been lightly refreshed. I have never redressed or did a thing to her but have kept her in a cabinet away from heavy light and sunlight. She is as the title states….. Here was the ad, I couldn’t say it any better than this. What is there not to adore??? The girl we all love is all dressed up in a spectacular recreation of the very rare satin afternoon dress #2035 from 1956. This gorgeous off-white gown was made with taffeta and to my knowledge is one of only two creations made. The sash of the dress is caught at the left waist with vintage florals, and another vintage bouquet rests at Cissy’s right shoulder. Hand-set rhinestones in various sizes are sprinkled on the bodice and the sash. Closure is at the back with 3 square snaps. Underneath is the taffeta and tulle slip, custom made for this gown, taffeta panties and vintage hosiery. Cissy chose to wear a gorgeous rhinestone jewelry set – matching necklace and bracelet – a big sparkler on her finger, and small little hoop rhinestone earrings. Note: this beauty did not come with pierced ears, her earrings were applied with a spot of completely removable glue. This is indeed a breathtaking, gasp-worthy Cissy!! She was produced in 1955 and was the only Cissy to have been blessed with this gorgeous light brown wig, which also has longer bangs and longer curls in the back. Her features are beautiful – matte, with lightly blushed cheeks. Her color is ORIGINAL with no touch-ups of any kind. It’s an absolutely gorgeous confection… Blue satin underskirt, two layers of blue tulle, and the overlay of silver stars & braided silver trim. A beautiful blue & silver fitted drop-waist bodice is decorated with a small satin bow, and closure is at the back with four square snaps. This gown is in outstanding condition, with only a couple of very light age spots at the bottom of the satin underskirt on the side, which of course cannot be seen at all because there are three layers of fabric over it. Underneath Cissy wears the original ivory taffeta & tulle slip, matching panties, vintage hosiery & silver strappy sandals. Cissy chose rhinestone studs for her ears, a beautiful silver & rhinestone bracelet, and a sparkling “diamond” on her finger. She carries a lucite handbag encrusted with pretty silver flowers. This Cissy is drop-dead gorgeous. Her features are perfection; her blush has been very lightly refreshed. Her dark brunette wig is thick & longer than most, allowing curls to drape down her back. I consider myself a lucky person to have owned such a rare & stunning example of Madame Alexander’s dolls. This beauty was nicknamed “Waltz Doll, ” perhaps because when looking at her it’s easy to imagine her twirling around the dance floor, this luxurious blue satin gown flowing around & behind her. What a beautiful vision! Cissy’s tagged blue slipper satin gown is in very good condition for its age. The are no holes, rips or tears. It’s not mint; there is some faint staining & scuffing here & there, although you can see from her photographs how beautifully it displays. I mention these things because they can be seen with heaving spotlighting, but on normal display these imperfections seem to melt away with the folds & beauty of the satin. It’s not perfect, but breathtaking none-the-less. The beautiful front decorative braiding is studded with both clear & blue rhinestones (all are present) and metallic silver thread. Closure is at the back with five square snaps. Underneath Cissy wears the original taffeta panties and original slip elastic at the waist has relaxed on both, and was re-tightened with elastic thread; there is some light age spotting. The slip has an extra-wide bottom flounce trimmed with the blue satin which matches the gown. Cissy has vintage hosiery and her original silver strappy sandals. This Cissy didn’t have pierced ears, but has small half rhinestones on each lobe. She wears her vintage “diamond” ring, and a silver & rhinestone bracelet made in the likeness of the original. Both her spectacular vintage floral bandeau & white feather fan with pewter fleur-de-lis were reconstructed with complete respect to the original design. I’m perhaps prejudiced, but I do believe this is one of the most beautiful Cissys Madame Alexander created. She is completely original and has only been re-matted to protect her gorgeous color & features. Several items given this doll were never again used on any other Cissy – the most prominent being her stunning thick light brown wig, with both longer bangs & longer curls tied at the back.
