1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy 21 Brown Hair dressed in Chemise & Gown. Of course THAT BOAT has SAILED!!!!!!! Her condition is vintage but arms and legs are attached & bend, eyes open & close, eye lashes still there, hair good condition. Ball gown has a 2 rip in front… Other wise pretty great gown. And sadly her high heel shoes are pretty far gone. I dressed &undressed this gal often in the late 50′s. I believe her to be a Kathy doll but I can not be 100% sure as her box is not marked with her name and her outfit is very unique. Her box and dress retain the original store tags from the department store Stix, Baer & Fuller and I think she could have been a store special for them. Stix, Baer & Fuller was only found in St. Louis Missouri and was in operation from 1892 to 1984. This doll and box both have their fashion award medals which means she was produced sometime around 1950. I can not say enough about how beautiful this doll is. Her hair and facial coloring is absolutely pristine! Her hair is a beautiful strawberry blonde color and there is not a single hair out of place. Her hair has a silky shine and her braids are perfect with the most beautiful pink bows at their ends. Her facial coloring is bright and beautiful and she has the most outstanding brown eyes. Her brown eyes are clear and her lashes are nice and full. Her dress and pinafore are also in excellent condition with no holes, stains, tears or odors. The dress is pink with white polka dots and the sleeves and collar are trimmed in organdy. The dress has the remnants of a tag which was located under the collar and appears to be a Madame Alexander tag as you can still see a bit of the dark blue writing. The white organdy pinafore is trimmed with a pink ribbon that exactly matches the bows in her hair. The organdy of the pinafore has aged and is not as white as it once was as seen in the pictures. Under the dress she wears a white slip with attached bloomers. The slip and bloomers close with a square snap and are in excellent condition. The socks and shoes are also excellent with no issues to report. The doll came to us in her original box which has kept her safe all these years but is in terrible condition. It is truly falling apart and when I was picturing the box what was left of the lid broke in half and the rest is being held together with a lot of tape. All that being said it does lend to her originality and shows where the doll came from. This is such a fantastic doll with rare brown eyes and a beautiful dress and she will be a stand out in any collection. Please take a look at all my other Vintage doll offerings this week. Make sure to read it as the information explains the details. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. This little girl has clear brown FLIRTY eyes. She is 17 which seems to be a harder to find size? Very nice brunette mohair wig still has pins in the curls and the barrettes. Her clothing is Vintage 40′s era factory dress, coat & hat set. Very cute and in very nice shape. Cotton floral dress with Organdy trim collar and pockets. Not original, but appropriate for her. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was Mint. With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. The doll will not be over strung too tightly. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. My attention to detail of the painted features is expert. Vintage Madame Alexander brunette Cissy doll in chemise, nylons, and heels, signed Alexander on back of neck. Doll measures about 20″h; box is about 22″ x 9″ x 6″. Vintage, pre-owned, imperfect, used condition; some dark specs and blemishes to her skin throughout, on face, chest, arm; dark scuffing at all joints and eyelids. Eyes open and close properly. Hair a bit disheveled. Box is very worn and damaged, discolored. Elastic on shoes is loose and worn, fabric worn also. Chemise has some wear and no tag. Wig has peeled back a bit so that some adhesive shows at her hairline on both sides. Can’t tell if any lashes missing but they look mostly intact. Doll stand not included. Vintage 50S Plastic Madame Alexander 18 Htf Groom Doll Margaret Face Brown Eyes. Doll(s) with Clothing/Accessories. Up for your consideration is a Madame Alexander Groom Doll. He comes to you in full Tuxedo. It is my understanding he has the rare Margaret Face with unique brown eye color and dark chocolate straight hair. He measures approximately 18 in height. His eyes open and close and he has lovely full eye lashes. There is a very minor blemish to the forehead that I can’t even get to show up in a photo, but wanted to mention regardless. He wears a white tank-style shirt and attached black pants with chain attached at the hip. Long tails, Tuxedo coat with white trim at the cuffs. Original black socks and black snap shoes. Please note, one heel is missing, but the the sole cardboard is still intact and attached to the cloth shoe. The white shirt does have some fade to the cumberbun which will lay flat when the stand is removed. Other than mentioned there are a few body scuffs from play-wear and where the stand rested against the waist, but those are all hidden beneith his dashing wardrobe. The back of the white shirt has some spots (photo). The white shirt is tagged Madame Alexander and the word “Alexander” is typed across the back of the neck on the doll. All original makeup, nice blush cheeks with a flawless porcelain complexion color… And beautiful red lips. Pierced Ears with Original Rhinestone drop earrings. Lavender Afternoon gown has original tags inside. Silk Taffeta Pleated Gown (dress) has the Bolero jacket, nylon petticoat and tulle underskirt, panties, and thigh high back seamed stockings, with lavender purple high-heeled sling pumps The lavender straw hat is decorated w/ Veil with Floral trim. She still has Original Purple Rhinestone Ring, a Pearl Bracelet. Her Pearl Necklace is flaking & peeling from age? (as are most of the ones you see) ============= I cannot see any cracks or breaks in her body. Her head tilts slightly back (it may need to be adjusted in a mild restoration) Her skull cap is not glued to her head anymore, it looks like it may have been previously. She has been displayed on a stand, (stand included) so she may need a little light clean up… Her dress does have some light spots on close inspection.. Barely noticeable from a distance. Flowers in trim show wear from age and veil is pulled loose in spots in close inspection….
