The dress is from the 1956 product line and is pictured on page 48 of The Cissy Files. The dress has no odors. The taffeta is crisp and displays wonderfully. The Cissy tag has been cut from the back neckline and still has the cut end tab that you can see through the lining of the bodice. This is an excellent dress that Cissy would look beautiful wearing. This is an original vintage Madame Alexander Cissy tagged navy blue taffeta cocktail dress with its hard-to-find original stole and hat from 1957. As seen on page 51 of The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw , this capped sleeve dress of navy blue taffeta is truly lovely. This tagged, little dress features a gathered bodice and a dropped waist. This cocktail ensemble is completed with a pleated organdy stole and a little gathered tulle confection of a hat. Both of these are original & are adorned with the signature Madame Alexander pink roses. Madame Alexander borrowed heavily from Christian Diors Spring 1956 Collection in Paris. At that time, Vogue Magazine reported that Dior presented a Cocktail Ensemble….. Silk taffeta, silk organza dress (see photos in the listing). This little cocktail ensemble a la Dior is in great condition. Along with the complete, original outfit you will receive a matching purse and a reproduction Cissy hang-tag. Your Cissy will be truly beautiful and ready for cocktails when she wears this charming outfit. Cissy is clean and has no odors, stains, splits or cracks or repairs to such. She has been newly restrung to head and arms. She has nice arms with no rips in the socket area or issues with her fingers. Her hair has been cleaned and reset. Her original wig is full and shiny with no cuts or trims. Her lips have been repainted and blush was added. A matte protective finish was applied to her face. She has no earring holes. She has beautiful blue eyes. Both eyes have had some lash fill in. She stands and posses fine. Right leg is a little loose at the hip, but it is attached inside of body and is not swingy. Just a lovely girl! Cissy is wearing a reproduction black cocktail dress. It is made from new, lovely black silk taffeta. The bodice is lined with black organdy. The skirt is 8″ long with a 2″ hand stitched hem. The waist is serged. The skirt is a full 65 circle when laid out. There are 5 original black square snaps going down the back and the front is adorned with an original gold brooch. Under her dress she wears her original pink can can slip with pink rick rack trim. Also her original panties. Both slip and panties have been hand laundered and new elastic inserted at the waist. She wears her original nylons in very nice condition, silver diamond studded bracelet, and diamond ring. She has a replacement hang tag and a new lucite purse made in the original fashion with black velvet straps and flower adornment. Inside the purse is a vintage plastic lipstick and a metal can of rouge. Stand and chair are not included. This listing will end on Sunday, August 18th. This is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has short blonde hair that is pulled up into two side ponytails that are held together with a brass tie bar. The back of the hair tucks under at the nape of the neck and is kept in place with a hairnet. Cissy wears her tagged sapphire blue taffeta cocktail dress. It is in very nice clean condition, not washed, snaps all secure, one teeny tiny hole in skirt section as shown in one of the photos. She also wears panties, lace slip, stockings, and black elastic heels with blue rhinestone accents. She wears round pearl earrings in her ears and a Cissy pillbox hat with pink roses and green leaves. There is one seam split in the left hip section that goes into the torso. One of the photos shows this. Her eyes are a pretty bluish green color, nice full eyelashes, nicely blushed. Neck and arm stringing fits snugly in the sockets. Tissue was used under skirt to make it stand out and show the voluminous fabric. The photos are part of the description so view them all.
