These are the Dionne Quintuplets by Madame Alexander, circa 1935. They are all composition and a complete set of (5). All are marked “ALEXANDER” on their backs. All are excellent and clean condition with very nice coloring. There are no cracks, breaks, crazing or distracting marks. One needs to be restrung and two are a tad loose. They all have their original clothing which consists of dress, slip, diaper, bonnet and bib. The bibs have their names embroidered on them. One is missing her bib. There are no odors. All clothing is very nice with no holes, tears, stains or problems. The group appears to have been put away when made and never played with. Really as nice as you will fine these. The usual outfit is in blue with a coat and different hat, but same skirt and similar blouse. This great condition outfit consists of a pink skirt, white blouse, ivory cardigan, fancy pink hat, and undies. First of all, the Alexander-kin is a BKW with a gorgeous triple stitch red wig and bright all original facial coloring. She is just so pretty in pink! There are no cracks splits in her hard plastic and her stringing is tight. The walker walks if somewhat hesitantly. Her beautiful sparkling eyes open and close easily. The pink skirt has good waist elastic and stays up nicely. There are two barely visible light brown marks on the skirt, one at the hem and one near the waist. Honestly they show up more in the pictures that in person. The white blouse is different than the blue outfit version in that it has a ribbed texture in front. The wonderful knit cardigan has no holes or stains and has good buttonholes and original buttons. Underneath is a full star slip, instead of a half slip, and matching star panties. Both in very good condition. The hat is so wonderful! It is the bandeau type hat with bunches of flowers on each side and tied under the chin with a pink bow. Finally the socks and fuzzy bottom black shoes are also in very good condition. What a special “Kin” to add to your collection! All items are carefully wrapped including tissue, bubble wrap, and most items are boxed. Items come from a non-smoking home. Vintage 1959 Madame Alexander Cissette Sleeping Beauty. This beautiful Cissette is complete and is in excellent mint condition with NO damage. She is missing her box lid. The label on the front of her box has number 795. Box shows light aging but overall is in nice sturdy form. F rom an Odor Free home. Vintage Madame Alexander 20 Cissy Bride Doll. This doll was won by my aunt back in the 50′s in a bingo game. She saved it for me and gave it to me on my 5th birthday back in the early 70′s. I loved the doll and played with her very carefully and with much respect for years. She is in excellent condition considering her age, however she is now missing her “diamond” ring that she came with along with the original “diamond” earrings. I lost those over and over again and my mother would frequently take vacuum bags apart to find them. She often did too, until that last time when it went finally missing. While the clothes are all in good condition, the original hangers for the pink box / closet area are now mostly broken and would have to be replaced or remade. All of the outfits shown above are included. There are also several more that would not fit in to the photographs. The drawer on the box pulls out for storage. Set of Madame Alexander Dionne quintuplets complete with nurse and furniture. Identifying mark – raised lettering that reads: Alexander. Complete with painted white furniture. Crib, playpen, highchair, low potty-chair, and a scooter. 13 Composition nurse with no identifying to labels or marking. Has very sparse light blonde human hair wig, glued to head. Head has very light crazing and has three relatively large cracks and one small crack around eyeholes. Green sleep eyes (tin), with one eye opening with sparse lash, the other good. Body in relatively good condition with some crazing, thumb paint chipped and feet with damaged toe areas. Appears to be wearing cotton nurse outfit and hat. (#1) Quintuplet – Composition bent limb baby, with molded painted hair. One eye has paint loss and head has very light crazing overall. Body is good but needs restrung. Wearing original cotton taffeta short dress, bib that reads embroidered in pink Emelie. Complete with slip and original diaper, missing bonnet. (#2) Quintuplet – body in good condition, except face has major crack through center. Wearing original dress, slip, diaper, booties, and bonnet. (#3) Quintuplet- in overall good condition except right arm, shoulder has small crack through paint. Wearing original bonnet, dress (no slip), diaper, booties, bonnet, and bib embroidered Annette. (#4) Quintuplet – Composition in good condition except for toe rub. Wearing original dress, slip, diaper, bonnet, booties, and embroidered bib with Cecilia. (#5) Quintuplet – Composition bent limb baby in relatively good condition, except for small crack under nose and two cracks extending through center of lips. Also, cheek area with paint loss. Wearing original dress, slip, diaper, bonnet, and bib embroidered Marie. I have tried to describe as best as possible. This set is coming from a personal doll collection. No pet non smoke household. Doll with auburn hair, wearing 852 Bridesmaid complete outfit dress, slip, panties, stockings, earrings, necklace, bracelet, shoes, & hat. Found in original box with cardboard insert. Has been re-strung – sleep eyes work as they should. Gorgeous coloring without rubs, and auburn hair in original style. Her ring finger on left hand is broken off, but included for repair see 9th pic. Her pearl necklace had a break, so the ends are tied together with thread to secure (see 8th pic), one earring is darker I have not tried to clean. Elastic on silver shoes is stretched, so looped an additional time on her ankle so they would stay on for display. Her pink taffeta slip has some light speckly age spotting. O problems that I can see with any of the outfit. Box has some typical fading and lid has two repaired corners. Found at a recent estate and appears she was kept in her box over the years.
