This stunning lady (#2285 from 1958) is known to many as The Lady In Red, and this near mint example is a very special Cissy… Her crisply tagged heavy taffeta gown is flawless, except for one pinpoint size dark speck on the bottom left side of the skirt. Her original tulle shawl has two small holes amid all the folds behind the original silver star pin, and this obviously! Is an “invisible” flaw! Cissy wears the original red taffeta slip, and underneath her original hosiery & silver sandals. This Cissy did NOT originally wear a bracelet, but I added this vintage pearl bracelet to compliment her original choker and earrings. It seems some LIRs had a clear rhinestone ring, others a red one… This ring is clear, but I have the vintage red rhinestone ring should you prefer it. Cissy has gorgeous features & all original coloring. Her dark blonde wig is perfection, thick with stacks of curls unique to this wig. She had a very small, narrow separation at the top of her right hip, inside her body cavity, which has been professionally repaired. Also, which is ironically further proof your LIR is original! Cissy has some light red staining on parts of her torso, a result of over 60 years in her beautiful gown. Cissy has crystal clear very-blue eyes with full lashes, and no splits, cracks or odors. These are the Dionne Quintuplets by Madame Alexander, circa 1935. They are all composition and a complete set of (5). All are marked “ALEXANDER” on their backs. All are excellent and clean condition with very nice coloring. There are no cracks, breaks, crazing or distracting marks. One needs to be restrung and two are a tad loose. They all have their original clothing which consists of dress, slip, diaper, bonnet and bib. The bibs have their names embroidered on them. One is missing her bib. There are no odors. All clothing is very nice with no holes, tears, stains or problems. The group appears to have been put away when made and never played with. Really as nice as you will fine these. The usual outfit is in blue with a coat and different hat, but same skirt and similar blouse. This great condition outfit consists of a pink skirt, white blouse, ivory cardigan, fancy pink hat, and undies. First of all, the Alexander-kin is a BKW with a gorgeous triple stitch red wig and bright all original facial coloring. She is just so pretty in pink! There are no cracks splits in her hard plastic and her stringing is tight. The walker walks if somewhat hesitantly. Her beautiful sparkling eyes open and close easily. The pink skirt has good waist elastic and stays up nicely. There are two barely visible light brown marks on the skirt, one at the hem and one near the waist. Honestly they show up more in the pictures that in person. The white blouse is different than the blue outfit version in that it has a ribbed texture in front. The wonderful knit cardigan has no holes or stains and has good buttonholes and original buttons. Underneath is a full star slip, instead of a half slip, and matching star panties. Both in very good condition. The hat is so wonderful! It is the bandeau type hat with bunches of flowers on each side and tied under the chin with a pink bow. Finally the socks and fuzzy bottom black shoes are also in very good condition. What a special “Kin” to add to your collection! All items are carefully wrapped including tissue, bubble wrap, and most items are boxed. Items come from a non-smoking home. Vintage 1959 Madame Alexander Cissette Sleeping Beauty. This beautiful Cissette is complete and is in excellent mint condition with NO damage. She is missing her box lid. The label on the front of her box has number 795. Box shows light aging but overall is in nice sturdy form. F rom an Odor Free home.
