The classic pair of Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear are brought to life in this beautiful limited edition piece by Madame Alexander. This set was produced for 2008 only and was a limited edition of 500 pieces. This particular set is number 487/500 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity stating the same. Christopher Robin stands 12 inches tall with light brownish/blonde hair and brown eyes. He is modeled from Madame Alexander Lissy doll and wears his iconic blue, white, and yellow checked button down shirt with collar and blue shorts. He finishes off his look with white socks, black shoes, and a straw hat. Christopher Robin has jointed arms and legs and is poseable. Wendy is perfectly dressed for the autumn season wearing an adorable green jacket with a multicolor silk dress underneath accented by a coral collar and ruffled edge on her skirt. An orange pom-pom decorates her maroon knit hat and her dark blonde braids are fastened with green satin bows. She has gorgeous brown eyes, just the sweetest face, and of course she comes with her friends Bambi and Thumper. She also has knees that bend for easy posing. SIMPLY DARLING AND A VERY RARE DOLL SET! She will arrive complete in excellent condition in her original box with her wrist tag attached. She is from the 1950s and appears close to factory fresh and very displayable. Her MME Alexander foil tag for fashion award is still on her wrist. Her tagged Snow White dress is bright, crisp, and stunning. Her lightly blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. Her original elastic bands were removed and replaced with new elastic cording. Her arms now hold a pose beautifully. Her hair is in incredible condition and set in the loveliest style with original hair net and hair pins. Her dark lower painted lashes highlight her eyes perfectly. Her molded eyelashes are intact and incredible. Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the blushed color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her beautiful hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. She is brought to you by a pet and smoke free home, and she is free of odors or issues. She is wearing her stunning, and close to immaculate, tagged Madame Alexander floral incredible dress trimmed with the pristine gold tone lame bodice with gold trim on the edges of the vest. The sleeve ends are still stretchy. Her very intact inner slip skirt is attached to the dress. Her snap button panties are bright and white. Her center snap button shoes are close to original color and condition with incredible contrast of lovely perfect socks. She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. She only needs restringing to truly return her to her original glory. She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her tagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The fabric on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, no splits under her ears or on her seams, free of major or minor damage.
