For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Madame Alexander. Cissy wearing the rare boxed extra Daisy Dress from 1955. The last 2 pictures are taken from. Shaw states in her second book. The Daisy Dress pictured is on everyone’s bucket list… Including the author’s! I’ve had this dress for many years – it came to me in a trunk with a Cissy and many beautiful clothes. I would not have known it was a Madame Alexander except for the tag. I surely did not know that it was rare until Ms. Shaw published her books – many thanks to her for these excellent resources. This dress still has the original flower corsage stapled to the bodice!! It has been carefully washed once due to yellowing from age and storage, but. Retains the beautiful body and sheen of polished cotton. The fabric is in excellent shape, including the gauze sleeves. Her dark brown hair appears to be in the original setting – I added dark pink vintage flowers for accent. Are blue with fairly full lashes which. Open and close as they should. Her eyes seem to be. A bit off set. I think this could be fixed; however, this is not something I wanted to try. Her original owner said she had been repaired in the past and possibly this occurred during or prior to that repair. Her complexion is beautiful and I do not know if she was repainted with the mentioned repair. Her stringing is very good. Otherwise, she is a lovely doll and would be an excellent addition to your collection. And gloves are Madame Alexander. One shoe has petals missing from the flower. I’m including 2 similar roses if you want to repair or replace it (see pictures 3 and 4 by hatbox). I’m unsure about stockings and ring, although ring is vintage. Her slip and panties are vintage, but not made by Alexander. The hatbox is a reproduction. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave. Something out please look at the pictures carefully. As they are the most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old. As a new doll would. I will be listing a few more Cissy’s hopefully by December, as well as other Madame Alexander, Arranbee, and others from my collection after Christmas, so please check back. The doll stand is not included. My home is smoke free I do have a dog, but she is not allowed to play with my dolls:. Some weeks it may vary slightly depending on my schedule, however I do try. This dress was made by a favorite professional with much experience in dressing our dolls. I love this dress, this whole set is exquisitely made by Donna, Donna’s Creations. You will not find many ensembles like this one. The dress is made using Madame Alexander standards. The bodice is lined, it closes with snaps and has a fulI skirt hand hemmed. Donna has made a very special half slip to go with this and it can be worn either side out. Also the dress has a drop waist and Donna made the panty so that it would sit slightly below the waist, avoiding any bunching up of material at the waistline. Another fine feature is that the slip closes with a snap, no bunching of material at the waist line with the elastic materials. There is also a wrap from the same material as is the dress. This is a soft lace designed material. CHECK whe set has been very well taken care of and is in excellent condition. NO DOLL, JEWELRY, OR OTHER ACCESSORIES INCLUDED. This is a beautiful Cissy wearing the yellow floral taffeta dress. She is not without problems. Her body has red stains on her leg and panties and petticoat slip. Her dress displays beautiful but did have substantial moth damage in the front. I have repaired it to the best of my abilities and it is not very noticeable at all, look at pictures closely. Her sandals have been replaced because elastic on her original set have stretched with age. Her jewelry is all original along with the cameo on her bodice. All in all she displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to your collection. This is a Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. It belonged to my 95-year old mother and was in a glass case for years. While I don’t know this for sure, I have been told that it is the 1958 “Fragile and Flowery” Cissy with painted tulle gown. Cissy has a very small crack on one leg. Also, one of her shoes has come unglued. (also shown in picture). Her panties have a small hole. Her hose are in good condition. She has a beautiful face, and the paint is still bright. Her hair needs to be combed, but I was afraid to touch it since I don’t know that much about the hair. Please view pictures carefully, as I consider them to be part of the description.
