THIS BINNIE IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND BINNIE WALKER DOLL because I have added several accessories: a “NEW BLUE” AQUA CARDIGAN SWEATER w/ PUSH-UP SLEEVES—tagged “The Doll Clothes Store—Silverton, Oregon”. This doll originally wore a white jersey cardigan sweater so “I have to have a new blue sweater” she whispered shortly after arriving in my Doll Room. “To match my new blue hairbows”. And she has—TWO NEW AQUA GROSGRAIN RIBBON HAIRBOW CLIPS, one on each side. This doll did not come with brass barrettes like Winnie wears. I added a VINTAGE “MADE IN JAPAN” TAGGED “PEARL” NECKLACE with ORIGINAL METAL LOBSTER CLASP—the only necklace this longer length that I have ever seen! Perfect for This Lady! I designed OOAK MINI-PETITE “PEARL” BRACELETS made from MARVELLA PEARLS to be worn on either side of a NEW “DIAMOND” BRACELET. Worn over PEACH PINK LACE OOAK FINGERLESS GLOVES (made my yours truly) to protect her vinyl wrists from “metal marks” from bracelets. (my 1961 Jacque dolls have vinyl wrists that are forever “tatooed” from their original silver bracelets). Miss Binnie carries a OOAK MINI-ROSE & LILY BOUQUET made by yours truly from imported parchment florals—IN WHITE & PINK & BLUE HUES! MISS BINNIE HAS BEEN RESTRUNG but not too tight SO SHE HAS EXCELLENT HEAD TILT & LOVELY “LIFTING” ARMS. THIS BEAUTIFUL BLONDE CISSY BINNIE IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE LIKE HER IN MY COLLECTION. I make no claim that she is “mint”—SHE IS NOT MINT—SHE DOES HAVE SOME SIGNS OF “AGE” as mentioned earlier, repairing her by filling cracks and reinforcing the stress point at her knee and across her bottom. She also has a few small marks (like little dots) on her arms between her gloves and sweater, and minimal “rubs” at hip joints, with a few tiny “nicks” on legs—she has ORIGINAL PINK KNEES! As far as I can tell her dress has not been washed—the fabric appears to have original patina and texture and fits well but not tight—this fabric will shrink with washing as it is 100% cotton. She has been on display in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM protected from sunlight & temperature extremes. I can send you additional photos upon request. This doll is not photographed but is described in detail on page 117 of the book MADAME ALEXANDER COLLECTOR’S DOLLS by Patricia Smith, under the paragraph “Binnie Walker”. She is listed as being 25″ tall—the doll is 24″—her original white cotton jersey stocking cap would have made her 25 tall, it is not included. She came to me without her original hat and sweater. Absolutely stunning Cissy doll by MME. No splits or cracks. Has her eyelashes and makeup has not been touched. She has a small spot on her left cheek where it has lost color and a couple rub spots on her eyelid of left eye. Her face color is amazing and upon first glance appears flawless. She wears a tagged Cissy dress that is in overall good condition. Two small spots had to be mended where lace meets fabric and in the armpit of her right arm. This is a beautiful Vintage Princess Elizabeth Madame Alexander Composition Doll with Original Clothes & Tiara. The doll has her original Tiara on her head – socks & silver shoes with buckles on her feet – her under garment is a slip with attached panty (on the back of the panty is a couple of tiny holes) & a sweet pink dress embellished with 3 pink roses with green leaves & 2 buttons on back with the label that reads Princess Elizabeth – Madame Alexander – N. The doll measures 17 tall. The face has very faint crazing – one eye is foggy & she probably needs to be restrung (the arms, legs & head are loose). She has an open mouth with four upper teeth. Her clothes were only taken off for the first time just for the photo. From a clean smoke free home. Please take a good look at all photos. I cannot do justice to this gorgeous ensemble made for your vintage Madame Alexander Elise doll. It will also fit Madame Alexander’s 16 inch Cleo and other of the Alexander 16 inch Elise-like bodied dolls. It will not fit the modern, 17 Elise dolls. The dress is luscious, beautifully made of spring green dotted Swiss printed with pale yellow rose buds. Lace adorns the neckline and sparkling rhinestones decorate the bodice. A wide yellow satin ribbon with long ties circles the waist and ties in back. The picture-perfect hat and bag are by Richard, of course. They are made of pale green, lacy “straw” and are decorated with large, open white flowers. The labeled hat has Richard’s signature small rhinestone on the edge of a flower petal. A pair of light green taffeta panties are included. The shoes are a modern reproduction of Elise spike heels. The bases are silver, the linings white and the elastic straps are a very pale pink, which looks so nice with the dress. Vintage Madame Alexander Elise Bride with Marybel face, wearing 1963 “Layers of Lace” dress. This blonde Elise has a Marybel face with blue open-shut sleep eyes. She is made of plastic and is fully jointed. Elise wears a long dress with 2 layers of nylon tulle trimmed with 4 layers of gathered val lace along the hem. The bodice also has 4 layers of gathered val lace, and is tied with a big white satin bow. She has ALL of her original accessories. Floral wreath and veil. This doll is from my childhood. She has always been in a non-smoking house, and has no funky storage smell. The rubber-band like attachments for Elise’s head, arms, and legs have deteriorated, and so need to be replaced/restrung. According to the internet, this is easy. I have not examined the clothing super carefully, but I haven’t seen any other problems. Please see the photographs for condition.
