Rare Vintage Madame Alexander – Easter Bunny – made in 1991 can you believe 27 yrs ago! Exclusively for A Child at Heart. She is Limited, Numbered Edition – number 2,922 out of 3,000. She reminds me of the 1950′s Wendy-Kins. One of the cutest “Easter Bunnies” around! This little girl has blonde hair and brown eyes and is 8 tall, made of hard plastic. She is wearing a light “Alexander” pink & white gingham romper, white socks and matching pink gingham shoes. The back of the romper is adorned with a fluffy Bunny tail. She also wears a hat complete with Bunny ears! If you look closely in the photos, you will see the elastic for the hat is as it came from the factory and the hat has never been removed, it has stretched out a little bit and there a slight discoloration where the elastic is sewn to the hat on each side, I didn’t notice it till I took the photos. In her right hand she is carrying her yellow Easter basket which is in the shape of an egg. The basket is made of metal with a fish-net pattern and filled with pink paper Easter grass, 2 decorated eggs and a fluffy yellow chick. The left arm is a little looser as it seems the rubber band may have stretched due to the weight of the basket. All bows are factory tied, eyes move freely and arms & legs are in tact. Overall, she is is great shape and comes with original box, tag and custom doll stand. Included is a custom designed doll stand by Ann Rast, Once Upon a Stand. In the 1990′s Ms. Rast designed and made custom doll stands for many Madame Alexander dolls, frequently using the same fabrics and decorations as the dolls making them very sought after and collectible. All photos are of the exact doll you will receive. She comes from my personal collection and has been in a smoke free, climate controlled environment. Madame Alexander 8 Doll #46265 Easter Surprise EGG for TRUNK. Item will come to you the way pictured with all clothing and accessories pictured. She was displayed on an open shelf. She has some color changes to the bottom of her shoes probably from the old glue. The dress and the doll have some dust from being displayed and the arms and legs may have a little spotting from collecting dust. Exceptional strung Alexanderkins in complete outfit for a strung doll. I have heard this called =Easter Colors but not sure if that’s official. It is complete with mint blue top stitch shoes matching the flowers in the original basket and on her hat. The elastic on the hat is perfect. She has very long hair in curly pigtails. Beautiful face with just a spec of lip color missing. One stocking is not as tight as the other. I do not have her shoes snapped but that is only because I choose not to stress them But know they snap perfectly with no problem. Her basket of flowers is almost impossible to find. This doll is listed as the “Easter” doll in the Alexander Kins book and I have never seen a mention of “Behind the Bush” but I believe it is absolutely correct to the doll. I believe that calling her “Behind the Bush” relates to Easter and her finding eggs or her basket behind the bush during an Easter egg hunt. Could it get any cuter then that? The strung doll is absolutely stunning with bright coloring, beautiful shiny hair and a lovely all over complexion. Her body is in good condition with no splits to the plastic. Her outfit is so cute and the color is still a nice deep pink. Under her beautiful organdy pinafore she has rumba bloomers with a grommet. The ties from the dress go through the grommet in the bloomers and then go through the grommets on the pinafore and tie in a bow. She has on a darling lace hat that is different then the one in the book but correct for the year. She also wears white top stitch shoes that are in good condition but do show some darker areas from age. My favorite part is her basket with cotton spun chick. Both of which are in great condition. The box is in fair shape but I think the rarity of the name on the box makes up for it. I think she is a wonderful find that will be a star in your collection!
