Madame Alexander Elise In beautiful flower print skirt and blouse. The skirt is tagged Elise. The blouse is a very pale pink with a blue jewel toned brooch at the neck and is untagged. The pink sash is made onto the shirt. The color of the sash has bled onto the waist of the blouse. Also the arms of the blouse have lost most of the elasticity. The sash looks like it has what appears to be some glue residue on the front. Underneath the skirt she wears a ruffle slip. I have included pics of the outfit off the doll. She wears hose and panties. The doll itself is in very good condition. She is a redhead and a few of her original curls are still around the front, but otherwise her hair probably needs to be restyled. There are a few marks on her body, but overall looks very good. From our family collection of wonderful dolls, we offer to you for your consideration this exceptionally lovely “Elise” by Madame Alexander. She has been used only for display on a doll stand in a closed china cabinet and is in excellent condition. She is eighteen inches tall, including her hat, and her hard plastic body has vinyl arms and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. Her shoulders are a little loose. Her brunette hair is in the original set, and her pretty blue sleep eyes work perfectly with all brush lashes intact. She has a beautiful facial complexion and facial coloring. Her hands and fingers are quite detailed, and she has lovely pink nails. Because Elise has jointed ankles, she can wear flats as well as high heels. Elise’s clothing has never been removed. She is wearing a pink taffeta dress with long sleeves and a round neck. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders, and the skirt is double tiered in the front with an attached apron-like overlay. The gathered flounce on the overlay is the same width as the gathered flounce at the bottom of the skirt. The dress closes in the back with four snaps. Six vertical rows of gathered white lace cover the front bodice, and two. Rows of the lace accent the neck and the wrists. A black boucle’ trim accents the waist and the wrists. Two black velvet bows accent the flounce on the apron. Under her dress Elise wears a white taffeta half-slip with an elastic waist and a double row of gathered crinoline on the underside, white taffeta panties with elastic waist and lace-trimmed legs, and nude-colored seamed stockings. On the dress tag….. Completing Elise’s ensemble. Strappy silver high-heeled shoes. A drawstring pouch purse… Pink taffeta with plum-colored lace overlay, black tassel, black strap, and black boucle’ drawstring. Cream-colored straw hat with cream-colored netting and pink, red, and white flowers, and green, white, and yellow leaves. NOTE: The netting is very brittle. A solitaire “garnet” ring. Triple rhinestone drop earrings. A black and white cameo pendant on a black choker. A black velvet bow in her “updo”. Elise’s wrist tag is tied on to her left wrist with a pink string. Also on her left wrist is her original price tag from a department store in Greensboro, North Carolina. Thalhimers Ellis-Stone D660 44 21.98. Handwritten in black ink someone drew a line through the 21.98 and added 10.99. Inside her Madame Alexander wrist tag….. Fully jointed doll made entirely of plastic. I even have jointed ankles so I can wear high heeled shoes or flatties. My beautiful hair can be combed and brushed. Elise’s doll stand is included. Original Vintage Madame Alexander Elise. Dressed For Quiet Evenings… Of television at home, (1958). Doll & 3 piece outfit only…….. This is my last vintage Elise for sale. She’s in wonderful condition with no flaws. She has green eyes, all of her face paint is perfect which includes lashes, brows, eyelashes & lip color. Her blush is FANTASTIC. I’ll try to take a better photo showing this. Her hair is perfect, still in the original curls. Elise wears aqua velvet pants with tight gold elastic, lace blouse buttons up the back with dramatic sash of pink starched chiffon. This morning her outfit was PRISTINE PRISTINE but I managed to put 3 little holes in the sash. Yep, I’m not happy about that however they are easily hidden in the folds of the sash. I have to take more body photos tomorrow & will add them for you to see.
