Doll Madame Alexander 8 Doll- Queen Elizabeth II, England. This is a doll that is pristine, still has tag, no indication that she has ever been removed from box or had mesh removed from her hair. She has sashes and awards on her beautiful white jacquard gown that represent all she has done over 7 decades as she celebrates her platinum jubilee this year. This doll is rare, very hard to find. I need not mention that a pristine doll is very valuable and Her Majesty’s age and future longevity makes this doll only more likely to increase in value. When I don’t really want to sell one of my treasures and know I might not find another one if I regret it and I have never had a pristine MA doll – they have always at least been on display behind glass, I know this one is a treasure probably not to be found on social platforms. A true collector dreams of finding a doll not removed from box that is growing in value – here is one, still for an affordable but collectable price. I have over 50 vintage Madame Alexander dolls starting from 60 years ago, and this is the only one I put away and never played with or even took the mesh off her hair. We didn’t know we weren’t supposed to play with our dolls when we were little. We were just to keep them packed away, I guess a few did it, I only did accidentally – forgot she was stored in the back of a closet. This is a true find in my house – I forgot I even had her. Especially now with being her platinum jubilee and she just turned 96, this doll is a collector’s dream. I just can’t keep all I have, and each one has it’s own reason to make it difficult to part with.
