Madame Alexander Dolls

Up for sale is this EXTREMELY RARE 18 vintage Madame Alexander Cissy-faced Agatha doll from the Me and My Shadow series from 1954, in box. Of the more rare Me and My Shadow portrait series, Agatha is one of, if not the very most rare and hard to find dolls in that series. She has a very ornate outfit. She wears a pink, tagged, taffeta gown with purple and yellow eye loop trim, blue velvet forget-me-nots, gathers, flares, etc. It is fitted from the bodice to the hips, with gathers accentuating her hips, and very full gathered skirt. It has a stuffed bust (like the other me and my shadow and glamour girls should), and there is a slight stretching on her right breast seam, though the long ribbon tends to fall over it naturally. In the back there is a bow-like bustle, with wings that extend beneath, and a LONG decorated train. The sleeves have ruffled tulle on the underside. The tulle is a little brittle with ha section partially broken off on her left arm. Her bonnet is in lovely condition, with no breaks in the straw. It has a lovely pink moire ribbon weaving across the top with bows and tying in a bow under her chin. It has lovely blue and cream velvet forget-me-nots, and cream velvet forget-me-nots , and a couple perfect cabbage roses as well. She has a pink taffeta “parasol”, and pink Madame Alexander hat box. She has a beautiful dark brown hair in smooth hairdo with cured under ends pinned sleekly in the back. She does have some vintage glue residue at the top of her forehead just past the edge of the wig. It can best be seen in the photo of her laying down. I’ve heard it can be removed, but I will let the new owner decide if they want to so something about it. She has blue eyes, bright pink lips, and two strike brows. She has the lovely classic Cissy face so many love. Her box is in OK condition. It has a slight bend on one side and has a little seam separation where the bottom meets the wall of the box. Overall she is a lovely sample of an EXTREMELY RARE and hard to find doll. She doesn’t have odors and comes from a smoke free home. Up for sale is this GORGEOUS and VERY RARE 18 Mary Louise doll from the Me and My Shadow series from 1954, EXTREMELY RARE Yellow gloves. She is a very hard doll to find, but much, much more rare is to find her with her Yellow striped “kid gloves”. She is a beautiful doll with a Cissy face, and amazing golden yellow braids that are pinned up with shiny perfect curls at each cheek. Her eyes are a lovely blue, she has full eyelashes, lovely eye shadow, two stroke brows and pink lips. Her blush is pretty too, though she does have what looks like a tiny rub on her left cheek. She is wearing her original full-skirted burnt orange taffeta dress with crisp tag, black trim at neckline, bust and at her wrists. Her original olive green wool Jacket and hat with cream trim, rickrack and adorned with a few tiny metal flowers at the small of her back and on top of her head, are in excellent condition as well. No moth holes in the wool that I can see. Her hat is kept on her head by a lovely mustard yellow velvet ribbon nicely and are in excellent condition as well. Her light cream taffeta underskirt/hoop-slip is still crisp, as are her pantaloons. Her black velvet shoes are in excellent condition with fuzzy soles. She also has her black and gold hatbox in lovely condition. She doesn’t have odors and comes from a smoke free home. Beautiful, vintage Maggie doll in excellent condition. Have not done anything to hair but added silk ribbon and pinned it to hold it in place. Glued in wig original and very fragile. Did not to try to comb or reset. Redressed in more modern Madame Alexander, Alice in Wonderland, factory tagged outfit with shoes, hose, panties, pinafore and dress. Her eyes open and close nicely though a little slow. Stringing in good shape though legs a little loose. Beautiful addition for collection of 1940s and 1950s Vintage Madame Alexanders. Does not appear to have been messed with in any way by previous, unknown owners. Thank you for looking.
