NOTE: the doll is modeling and is NOT included. I have for sale a Cissy outfit, the hard to find skirt and blouse set nicknamed the “Librarian”. The striped blouse is an excellent copy made by doll seamstress Linda Foss, may she rest in peace. The black taffeta skirt is original and tagged (my photo makes it look faded but it is nice and bright), and is in very nice condition. It maintains its color and is not turning, but could use a steaming to fix the pleats. I will include a newly made white tulle ruffle slip and undies from Dolls Dreams by Natalie. I will include replaced wide strap black shoes with red glittery insoles. I have seen the outfit with or without a contour belt and I will include one but it is matte black and in my opinion is not quite right. Thank you for looking. When you move her head from side to side her legs walk although they are wobbly. The hard plastic body of the doll has a bisque like quality and is in good condition with no splits or cracks. However, please note that she has a couple of tiny marks on her tummy (see photo #12). She has beautiful dark sleep eyes that move freely, beautiful blushed cheeks, and perfect ruby red lips. Bo Peep’s triple stitched wig is styled in its original coiffure, with perfect curls and no missing or cut strands, etc. Adorning Bo Peep’s head is her original open weave bonnet that is accented with a large bouquet of flowers. The hat ties at the neck with a black ribbon and I believe was never removed from her head until I removed it to take the photos. Please note that the hat, while very stable, does have a few missing strands in the weave of the hat (see photo #10). Tied to her right wrist is a pretty flower bouquet and her purple shepherds staff. Also attached to the bottom of the staff is a small sheep that is very worn. A reproduction Madame Alexander tag is tied to Bo Peep’s left wrist. This beautiful doll wears a tagged pink taffeta gown with flower print side panniers. The pink taffeta skirt appears to have been ironed, is faded, and has a tiny pin size hole under the left pannier. The bodice of the dress in in great condition and a little black cumber-bun that is accented with pink felt flowers adorn her waist. Under the gown, Bo Peep wears a cotton slip and pantaloons; both with tight waist elastic. Other than the fading and tiny hole, there are no other holes, tears, or stains on the clothing. Little Bo Peep also wears original socks and black side snap shoes that have fuzzy bottoms. The doll does not come with a stand or an original box. NOTE: The wrist tag is a reproduction. Up for your consideration is this extraordinary Cissy doll from 1958. She is affectionately called The Lady in Red She is absolutely stunning and has a bright beautiful color to her face however, she is not for the mint collector. She has gorgeous blue green eyes with all of her lashes. No cracks of any kind! I love her anyway as she just melted my heart. These dolls are so hard to come by and I hate to part with her but I have to downsize my collection! Her hair was also a mess and I believe that it has been restored beautifully! Her curls are held in place with Bobby pins as her wig was in fragile condition before her restoration. The red velvet bow had just disintegrated into her hair so she has a simple red bow in her hair now. She comes with replaced Swarovski pearl earrings and necklace. She Has a huge white slip under her gown which is had some red from her dress fade onto it making it look pink. The slip has stretched elastic as do her panties. Her nylons have A couple small blemishes on them and shes wearing replaced vintage silver shoes. I have never tried to do anything with the dress I believe it will clean up beautifully however, I will leave that up to the new owner. There are also a couple of other spots on the ballgown. She is so very gorgeous and is always the centerpiece of any collection! She will always put a smile on your face! She is extremely well adjusted and a very uplifting doll. She displays amazingly during the holidays and Valentines Day its almost like she glows! Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description. This is a 1959 Blue Mandarin Jacket and Ribbon Skirt Set for the vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. The skirt is made from thick satin with ribbons of color and woven gold threads. The jacket is blue and is lined in organdy and features a unique mandarin collar. The jacket is trimmed at the wrists and center front bodice with embroidered ribbon. The jacket color is bright blue and the ribbon skirt appears to be slightly faded in front but brighter in back. The skirt has a couple of small stain spots that I tried to show in the photos. They are small and hard to see unless you know where to look. These things are reflected in the listing price. The skirt is tagged Cissy in center back seam. Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy With Harder To Find Crimped Blonde Curls. She is very beautiful. Infused doll with pretty blue eyes. No splits or odors. Clean and well strung. Blush has been very lightly professionally enhanced. Her hair does have fly-always and is flattened in back from storage. I believe she is from 1958. Certain of the Cissy fashions require this crimped hair wig, and it is not easy to find. A really pretty one to dress! Doll does have holes for earrings.
