Madame Alexander Dolls

This pretty Alexander is dressed as a bride, in her tagged hooped wedding gown. She is in excellent used condition, with good coloring except for one cheek where it looks like she got careless with the rouge, it’s just a little bit streaky. Her dress has a little dinginess because of age, but seems to be in good condition and the hoop still extends the skirt of the gown as shown. I don’t have her veil or bouquet. Here for your consideration is the Madame Alexander lovely red taffeta and rhinestone side drape gown from 1956. Also included is a hoop slip, red gloves and a floral hair decoration. The off the shoulder gown has a fitted bodice, dropped waist and a very full skirt. There is an attached taffeta “drape” trimmed in six rhinestones, and a slight train in the back. In my opinion the condition of the gown is excellent. I do not see any damage, repairs or stains. The Cissy tag is sewn into a seam on the back of the right shoulder. All snaps are present with original stitching. All rhinestones are secure. There are only a few wrinkles here and there. The gown is fully lined in red organdy. The cream colored hoop slip has a wide ruffle of tulle and holds the gown out nicely though it is slightly misshapen as often happens with these hoops. The ruffle is slightly pink. The slip closes with two snaps in the back. One side of one snap is missing some stitches. Also included are a pair of vintage red gloves (not sure whether or not these are Madame Alexander). The included hair decoration of red roses and green leaves will give your doll the look of the Cissy on the cover of Doll News. A very pretty ensemble!
