Offered here is a brand new, never removed from box, Madame Alexander 8 Wendy doll, style number 73330, called Mary Jane. She is the souvenir doll of the 2019 Madame Alexander Doll Club Convention, held this past June 26-29, 2019 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Her COA reads 9 of 154. The Convention theme was A Walk in the Garden. All the dolls reflected the theme, and Mary Jane is adorable in her mint green dress. Mary Jane has brunette hair done in smooth bangs and shoulder length curls. I have not removed the doll from the box, so I don’t know the exact style. I did not remove the hairnet, I only pulled it back for the pictures. The doll has dark eyes, red lips and high cheek color. Her costume is a soft green dress with a white Peter Pan collar and short sleeves. The bottom of her dress is embroidered with pretty flowers in shades of pink and yellow with darker green leaves. She is wearing pearlized green shoes, and white socks and white panties, and there is a cute little white straw hat with applied flowers of pink and yellow and a yellow velvet ribbon. There is an elastic band to hold the hat on the doll’s head. Please note: her box got a bit crunched at the edges on the journey home. Her box is not flawed, and will still function as a box, but it is not pristine. Hopefully, you collect dolls, not boxes, and this will make no difference. We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 1952 only vintage Madame Alexander 29 complete soft plastic vinyl and cloth Alice in Wonderland doll. She is stunning and was well preserved by the original owner. She was not a play doll and only a display doll. Her highly blushed cheeks are exquisite and perfectly round. Her hair is long, thick, and set in the original style with only a few fly away hairs you may want to restyle. He eyes are bright, engaging, and unclouded. She appears so fresh, clean, and displayable; she looks like she was made just 10 years ago. Her tagged dress is satiny, clean, and in amazing condition. The sleeve ends are still stretchy. The white apron pinafore is bright, white, and beautiful. She displays perfectly in her custom made, original, and tagged blue dress. Her dress and panties are bright and attractive clothes with well attached snap buttons on the dress. You can see her tights are most likely original- they fit her so perfectly; the waist is still stretchy, and they show no wear, discoloration, or age. Her original shiny black Mary Jane shoes fit her well, and they are totally intact and clean. The bottom of both of her shoes is a soft sole. She was displayed on a chair by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. She is free of any odors, issues, or blemishes. Her blonde hair is still tied back in her original bow with a lovely style of long soft curls. Her hair is full and well attached to her wig cap. Her face is an even color with a bright and even blush. Her sleep eyes open and close easily; they are unclouded with totally intact eyelashes. She shows no noticeable age or discoloration. We left her as is to preserve her in the original found condition. She shows no issues or flaws. Her cloth body is sparkling in the condition and absolutely clean and gloroius. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, splits, or obvious damage. She does not have any open seams or major noticeable detracting negatives. Her hair is uncut and close to the original style. We listed two other Edith/ Kelly/ Marybel face dolls this week from the same collection. She is truly one of a kind in her condition. Her face is colored exactly the same as her limbs. Her lips and cheeks are highly blushed. Her lips are full and pink. She appears flawless until I really scrutinized her. In one sof the photos you may see several smudges or marks on the left side of her forehead. I did not even notice until my daughter pointed it out. She has a real small minor thinned spot, or hole, on the top of her tights near the waist. The tights are thick and strong, so it does not affect the integrity of her bright white tights. She also has a small smudge or mark on the top back of one of her arms. Thank goodness for the young eyes of our 13 gear-old daughter. She pointed out these little unnoticeable blemishes. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls from an adult lady collector. She is moving and downsizing her vast doll collection. Many of the these dolls are from the 1920s through the 1960s; they may show some minor age for their age because they are between 100 and 60 years of age. Many of these were from the original owner’s collection of displayed, but not played with, dolls. Some of the older dolls were from her mother’s collection. These are all from a pet and smoke free home. They were well preserved with no odors or major issues. Please write with any questions. Old Madame Alexander Baby Jane Doll from the 1930s. She has a mohair wig, sleep eyes with lashes and open mouth with teeth. Her face is very nice for her age. I found usual crazing (with magnifier), and only 1 small crack starting on her face as shown in pictures. She is a 16 strung composition doll. But needs to be restrung. She is marked Baby Jane Reg Alexander on her neck. She does have some paint loss in places, see pictures, and her eyes are crackled/crazed as shown. Very Nice Composition Doll. All composition doll with open mouth and teeth. Jane is simply charming! She is just so sweet! She is wearing her original organdy dress with cream lappets, smocked bodice, muslin slip and panties, socks, side-snap white shoes. She is showing a bit of age as her compo body does have very fine crazing (it is more noticeable in the close up pictures then in person). Hat is a replacement but looks adorable on her! Her original tagged dress needs some help: needs a good cleaning, it has age spots. It also has a hole/tear in the back, slip and onsie look good. Shoes and socks are also good for age. Pin has lost its luster and faded in spots. There is a chip under hear head at the neck opening (see pic). Her face looks great. It may look like it in the pics but that is just stray hairs! Her eye whites are a bit faded and do not close, they move just a tiny bit. Stringing is nice and tight. 15 composition Madame Alexander JANE WITHERS DOLL. 30′s era era. Restoration information is in the text Below. Make sure to READ it as the information explains the details and represents part of the overall description. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, Finish is satin, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. Hard to find mid size. Jane has her original Mohair wig. Her sleep eyes are clear with the exception of a line in the right eye. They are her original eyes and looked good, so she kept them. Her dress and Organdy blouse/onsie are reproduction made from Vintage fabrics Patterned after a original dress. The hat looks is very similar Vintage to the original. Good vintage black snap shoes. I have other beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made (not what a 80 year old faded doll looks like). With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. Their imperfections are part of the charm of composition. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. My attention to detail of the painted features is expert. Fabulous composition, closed mouth Jane Withers – friend (or perhaps nemesis) to Shirley Temple. She has some crazing various places on her face, but not noticable on display. Crazing is practically a given with composition. You either love it or run from it. There’s an indentation spot on the back of her arm that looks to have been from the factory or perhaps a repair by someone (not me). I made her little beret, as she would likely have had one. I also bought the book separately, to go with her. Polished canvas shoes are wonderful, but someone put an inventory sticker on the sole of one. When I try to remove, it starts to tear the sole. I’m going to remove it and repair any discoloration. The little dress is lovely in color brightness and condition. I only see some scattered holes in her white cotton onesie (slip and attached panties). Jane’s mohair wig is perfection! It still retains its waves and curls. It’s almost a wine color. 20 all Original Jane Withers Child Star doll, in unplayed with condition, Alexander Jane Withers doll, composition with socket head, sleep eyes, real lashes, open mouth, row of teeth, Super full and softbrunette mohair curled wig, in original set, jointing at shoulders and hips. The doll is wearing her original dainty dress with pink organdy yoke and sleeves, flowered cream cotton attached pinafore. Muslin slip and panties, socks, side-snap white shoes, extremely hard to find, wovenp pale pink hat with pink banding. The dress has original cloth tag Jane Withers/. She is in wonderful condition, some crazing on the legs with the worse on the inside of both legs an open line down the length of both, they have been stablized with craze control so they display very well , the arms have some craze but minor, there is a small craze line below both eyes see pics, this is common with these Janes, but her is very minor compaired to the usual crazing. Her eyes are both crazed, Original dress has some soiling from display but its still crisp, could be laundered, no damage or rips.
