Vintage 1957 Madame Alexander Elise doll. Vinyl over sleeve arms, jointed at elbow. Original stitched part wig. Beautiful vintage Godey Lady gown & hat. Stockings, original shoes, petticoat & panties. Presented here is a gorgeous vintage 1957 Madame Alexander Elise doll. She is 16 tall, made of hard plastic with vinyl over sleeve arms, that are jointed at the elbow. Beautiful bright blue eyes with thick lashes, painted under lashes, lovely coloring, red mouth, single stroke brows. Her wig is original in great condition, stitched part, much of the original curl remains. The gown is fabulous, it is not tagged, I don’t know what she came in but the gown is the sames vintage. Made of turquoise-aqua cotton velveteen with a taffeta bodice and over skirt. The velvet is full with a bustle and train in the back. It is trimmed with silver metallic braid. The matching hat is adorable with vintage flowers and veil. Underneath she wears a cotton petticoat with lace and pink silk bow, matching cotton panties, original stockings and pink high heel shoes. The doll is marked on the back of the body and head. She is in excellent vintage condition, no notable damage. The clothing is also excellent, clean, sturdy, no stains, no tears; the elastic in the cuffs, panties and shoes has lost some of the stretch with time only. Comes with the stand. Because this item is listed as TLC. 1950s Gorgeous Cissy doll in rare blue silk shirt and corduroy gardening overalls. She is wearing original vintage nice black alexander shoes and her original gardening hat. No stockings or panties. Outfit is tagged Cissy’s hair is nice condition but exceptionally long. The previous owner pinned it up, there’s a lot of it. It looks like lady in red hair that had multiple curls in back. It needs to be slightly restyled for fly aways Her complexion is nice and she has the double stroke eyebrows. Her eyes are nice and blue and she has thick lashes. Some normal play rubs. For your consideration a RARE and Hard to Find. 1955 #487 Lady in Waiting. She wears a satin dress with side panniers of tulle and flowers and a coronet veil. Needless to say, as is the case with these vintage dolls clothing, the elastic that holds the veil is overly stretched as is the elastic at the waist of her organdy half slip/crinoline. LADY IN RED, is simply a stunning piece of art. This doll has a presence about her… She knows her place in the doll room! She is identified by her signature wig. It does not disappoint!!! Beautifully blonde with an elaborate sea of curls. Another feature is the high arched brows that are seen on certain dolls from 1958. Condition: Reblushed and lips are retouched. Slight cracks high in the hip cavity. Clothing: Original panties and hoop slip. It is made of a heavy taffeta and lined in the same fabric. Dramatic box pleats add to the fullness. Dress has some fading at the top of the bodice which is covered by the tulle stole. One water spot in front, also covered by the tulle. Doll is wearing a replaced tulle stole with flocked polka-dots. Accessories: She is wearing her distinctive and original pearl choker. She has her vintage snowflake pin. She is wearing her original Diamond ring. She has her original red velvet hairbow, but is pictured wearing a replacement one made from vintage ribbon. She will come with both. I believe earrings are replaced. Lady Churchill is a walker. I believe she is all original. Dress has some marks. Loop on skirt bottom is twisted-was hoping new owner will be able to repair. She has been in storage for many years. Nice doll, just doesn’t fit in my collection. She will need to be insured and signature required. She is a hard plastic walker. Wearing a pink satin coat trimmed with rhinestones around the neckline. Matching gown of same material and color. It appears that a rhinestone at neckline of dress is missing. 21 RARE Madame Alexander Composition Portrait Renoir Lady Windermere 1938 1946. 21 RARE Madame Alexander Composition Portrait Renoir or Lady Windermere circa 1938 WOW! It is not very often the elusive Madame Alexander Composition Portrait “Lady of Fashion” dolls come on the market. This is a 21″ composition portrait identified as “Renoir in the Alexander archive. It is more often identified as “Lady Windermere” as in “American Composition Dolls” Volume Two by Ursula R. See photo on page 25. The doll is in good condition with light crazing on her composition as seen in the photos. The facial complexion paint is vibrant and has not been retouched. The hand painted lashes and eyebrows are signature features of the portrait dolls, as are the blue painted eyelids, gray eye shadow and bright lip color. The full mohair wig is in the original set. This doll is wearing her original outfit with just the stockings, hat, and panties replaced. The composition 21 portrait dolls were originally marketed in 1938. They were discontinued during the WWII era, reappearing in 1946 when more characters were added to the group. Some of the original set were re-named in the later group.
