A beautiful doll with high color cheeks & lips, no rubs. Blue sleep eyes with all their lashes. Factory styled hair that still retains the original flower wreath. Her bangs are all there, just some pushed back from storage. Strung just right so she is easy to pose. Some white spots on back of her left leg, no unwanted hard plastic odors. All original tagged tutu with attached matching underwear that are brighter pink than the tutu. Mostly on back there are faded brown dots that look to wash out, some on right sleeve, as pictured. Front of the tutu has very few dots and they are hardly noticeable. Still retains original flower applique on waist and on left shoulder. Back of neck is marked “Alexander”. Vintage 1940s 21 Composition Alexander Dressed Margaret O’Brien Doll. S he’s a Beauty! Pretty Margaret faced brunette Margaret O’Brien wearing her original coat, hat and dress ensemble. 21 composition Margaret with mohair wig, clear blue sleep eyes and pretty painted features. She has a very nice condition body and pretty face. All composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Clear and sparkly blue sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Highlighting her eyes grey shadow, single stroke eyebrows, and below long. Right cheek blush, and closed rosebud lips. Her wig is all mohair in the typical O’Brien pigtails, held in place with two blue ribbons. Margaret is wearing her original white organdy dotted Swiss dress with blue trim, full skirt and puff sleeves, blue corduroy coat decorated with white pom poms and matching hat. Underneath, eyelet trimmed one piece undies. On her feet nylon socks and black ankle strap snap shoes. MARK: Madame Alexander on her head and back. Because of her size, she will need a 24 box and the Post Office is now charging for volume as well as weight. Rates have gone up. Good, carefully played with condition. Her painted facial features are all in tack and appear original. She has working, clear sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Her vintage wig is mohair in a nice set although her pigtails look a bit short. Even skin tone with original paint. Fingers and toes have had rough repairs on their tips – see pictures. She has light to moderate over all crazing. Paint wear to joints. No cracks, chips, lifting or flaking paint. Her costume is not tagged but is easily recognized and has working square snaps and serged seams. The coat and hat are in good displayed condition. The set has working snaps, original pom poms and light over all display soil. The dress fabric is thin and fragile. It has small rust stains at the neck, several rips – the one in front shown in pics and additionally several in the back of the skirt. All are about 1/2″ to 1″ in size. The one piece underwear appears to be original. It closes with a safety pin and is in good condition. Her socks and ankle strap, snap shoes are in good condition and look like vintage replacements. Hi everyone, here is a very beautiful hard to find hard plastic Madame Alexander doll from 1953, she is from the Glamour Girl series, she is a walker & walks well when her legs are moved, her head moves side to side, dress & under clothes all original & tagged, pink printed gown with sprigs of tiny green leaves, this costume came in two colors. The elastic in the sleeves has stretched, the dress is very nice, I do not see any rips or tears. Margaret face with original wig that looks to be up in original set, back of head marked Alexander. Sleep eyes work well with full lashes, the left eyes is just a little lazy at times. No odors, she is 17 in tall. Her hat is a replacement, She is just stunning. She is from the 1950s and appears close to factory fresh and very displayable. Her MME Alexander foil tag for fashion award is still on her wrist. Her tagged Snow White dress is bright, crisp, and stunning. Her lightly blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. Her original elastic bands were removed and replaced with new elastic cording. Her arms now hold a pose beautifully. Her hair is in incredible condition and set in the loveliest style with original hair net and hair pins. Her dark lower painted lashes highlight her eyes perfectly. Her molded eyelashes are intact and incredible. Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the blushed color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her beautiful hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. Her center snap button shoes are close to original color and condition with incredible contrast of lovely perfect socks. She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. She only needs restringing to truly return her to her original glory. She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her tagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The fabric on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, no splits under her ears or on her seams, free of major or minor damage. FROM THE HOME OF A SMOKING COLLECTOR. This doll is in lovely condition for a vintage doll She is a 14 Margaret face Madame Alexander from 1950. She has her bracelet but does not have shoes and her hairpiece was destroyed (I will send the remnants with her). Her dress has staining but is structurally sound with no damage. Her hair is in excellent set and her eyes work well. She will be due to restring soon but she currently is holding her head and limbs well. Her right hand has a bit of light damage on the top (perhaps cuts) but fingers and toes are fully intact in on all limbs. A nice doll from the 1950′s with a highly desirable Margaret face.
