We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 17″ or 18″ Madame Alexander, marked ALEXANDER, hard plastic Mary Martin doll with a lovely sun tanned matte complexion. She is from the years 1948 through 1950. Her nicely blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. She is strung nicely, strong and tight for her head and legs, so she can hold a pose beautifully for display. Her arms do not hold a pose. Someday, in the far future, you will want to have her restrung. — —-Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the lighter color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her caracul hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. I see a little fleck of missing color under her right ear. — —-This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. She is marked, very lightly, on the back of her neck. I can make out “EXAND”. —- —-Both of her clear unclouded eyes open and close completely. Her long molded eyelashes are complete and intact. Her eyes are stunning. Her outfit is custom to her, and an amazing fit, so it seems it is original. — Wow, I have never seen such an exquisite gown. This dress is not tagged. I have now seen the Mary Martin dress, and I know it is a white formal. There were some variations in the colors of trimming : red or green are the colors I have seen. I found the Doll Edition June 15, 2018 was a lovely photo. You can find many photos by googling Mary Martin formal or checking out the Doll Edition on Facebook. The fit, the style, it mustbe a classic over the top amazing Madame Alexander design. One could be a tiny pin prick size hole, but it is so little it is hard to see if it is just thinned. The snap buttons are well attached in the back. The top layer appears free of flaws, holes, or issues. The satin layer underneath is close to factory fresh. Included with this dress is the original velvety matching waist tie, her aged but displayable bright and crisp satin no heel shoes, and her intact lovely nylon pantyhose. Her white pretty panties are no longer stretchy. —She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. —-She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her untagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The satin on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. —-Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. —She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. She does have the minor marks on her right leg, but you will not noticem and I believe they are washable. She shows nothing majorly detracting from her displayable condition. — —-Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. This is a beautiful hard to find Madame Alexander 18 Margaret O’Brien face doll, marked Alexander on her back. She is wearing mommy made clothes. She has blue eyes and ginger colored. Hair & long eyelashes. Her face color is very pretty. Measures approx 18 H. She is in very good “Vintage” condition. She does have some some crazing on her face and 2 small flea bites as seen in pics. Her hair is in nice condition. The Coat, Cape & Blue, blue dress with flowers have some condition issues due to age. The pink and white tagged dress has black ribbon that I don’t believe is original to the dress, but it looks cute. This doll may need to be re-strung. Her joints are loose & she could use a cleaning. Oh my goodness, She’s a thing of beauty. Here I have a beautiful 21 inch 1949 to 1953 Margaret doll She is stamped “Alexander” on her neck. She is strung tight and has no breaks, cracks or odors. She has full thick lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She has on her original mohair wig and is wearing a vintage 1950s lace and cotton gown with rhinestones on it and a fur stole. She also is wearing a vintage pearl necklace and her original shoes and nylons. The nylons have a small tear on the top right leg. She also has on her original satin underwear that snap in the back and a hoop underskirt. She also has a bonnet and purse. She will also come with her original tagged wedding gown and veil. Her hair is in incredible condition and set in the loveliest style. Her dark lower lashes highlight her eyes perfectly. –This doll was made to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth Margaret face was only made in 1953 and 1954. I believe this is the 1954 version. She does have the minor unnoticeable rub at the end of her nose. The hoop in her skirt could be reshaped to form a proper circle. The hoop itself feels complete, and it appears free of free on the fabric. —Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Her bright white gloves are lovely. Her very intact clean hoop skirt with well attached snap buttons is attached to the pretty panties. Her pantyhose are free of damage. Her center snap button shoes are close to original color and condition with only one little dot, stain, on the outside of the right shoe. –The bright, unfaded, and sparkling accents of the rhinestone at her bodice and waist are perfect. Her matching necklace and earrings are intact and undamaged. Her bracelet is intact. —She is intact and complete. VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER 14 NINA BALLERINA DOLL Hard Plastic , Margaret Face , Floss Wig , Tagged Dress , All Original. Here is a lovely 14 hard plastic, strung Nina Ballerina doll. Her face has nicely painted features and original cheek blush. Sleep eyes work well and she has all original applied brush lashes. The dolls shiny blonde floss wig is in the original up-do hairstyle with curls and four flowers. There are just a few fly-aways. Curly bangs are at her forehead. Her body appears to be in excellent condition with minimal signs of play wear. Her head stringing is a little loose but it can be placed in position and stay there. The doll has an original, hard-to-find, metallic beaded choker necklace. Her tagged satin dress is trimmed with gold rick-rack and flowers that match the ones in her hair. The dress has layers of tulle on the skirt portion. I found some small holes in the tulle most in the second (underneath) layer. Theres only a tiny bit of age yellowing on the tulle; you have to look closely to see it. The dress has a stiff underslip and attached, lace-trimmed panties. Nina wears original satin ballet flats that might have never been removed. All clothes are in very good, gently worn condition. Please look at the photos carefully as they are part of the description. She does have a faint “hard plastic” scent that you sometimes find on old dolls, but it’s not at all sour or unpleasant and is not mold. Beautiful vintage 1952 “Madame Alexander” “Walt Disney” “Snow White” “Margaret” faced doll. She is 18 inches high and hard plastic. She has a shiny black, glued-on wig in its original factory style. Sleep eyes with full lashes, and beautiful face paint. Movable head, arms and legs. She is wearing her complete original outfit consisting of her gown, metallic gold bodice, panties, socks and shoes. The gown is ivory background, with gold print, with full puffed sleeves, elastic at bottoms, fitted waist and very full skirt. It has an attached cotton petticoat, that is trimmed with lace. It snaps in the back. It is tagged Madame Alexander, Walt Disney, Snow White. The metallic gold bodice (vest) has attached collar that matches the gown, laces up the front with metallic gold cord. Cotton panties, trimmed with lace, that snap in the back. Knitted socks and metallic gold, front snap shoes. I have done my best to recreate her rhinestone tiara, rhinestone necklace with center teardrop pendant, glued-on rhinestone earrings and rhinestone bracelet, made from antique and vintage rhinestone pieces. I have added the ribbon to her hair and made her a nylon net petticoat, to make her skirt stand out nicely. She is in very good condition, her issues are: her eyes are shiny, but not the blue that they once were, there is light discoloration on the collar of the gold bodice and on the sleeves and bodice of dress. The print on the fabric is slightly faded in places. I have added new elastic to the bottoms of the puffed sleeves, there are a few very tiny holes in the sleeves near the elastic. The metallic gold fabric has split front and back of bodice, but it is backed with stiff cotton fabric and is stable. The cotton petticoat and panties are no longer as white as they once were, as well as the socks. The metallic gold shoes have worn to a silver look on some parts of them. Here is a gorgeous vintage 21 tall Margaret O’brien. She is marked ALEXANDER on her back. Her dress and hair ribbons and socks look original to me. The slip, panties and shoes are replaced. I’m not sure if that hat belongs to her but it is vintage. Her dress is not tagged. She has a mohair wig. She has all hair and eyelashes. Her left eyelashes are all there, they just look shorter then the right side. She is super clean and shiny. There is very light crazing all over. There is a small place on the right side of her neck where the composition is cracked and lifting. There is another small place on the inside of her right knee where the composition is cracked and lifting as well. Her stringing is great condition. We are a smoke free home.
