Madame Alexander Dolls

We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 1958 vintage Madame Alexander 20 complete hard plastic vinyl strung Kelly doll. She is lovely for display and is still nicely strung. You may want to have her restrung eventually. You can see she was able to stand with assistance of a doll stand, which we will not include. Her arms do not hold a pose. Her legs are loose. She can hold her head without drooping. She displays nicely in her custom made, original, and tagged blue dress. Her dress and panties are bright and attractive clothes with well attached buttons on the dress. You can see her panties snap at the waist, and they show no wear, discoloration, or age. Her original socks are bright and white, but you can see somehow her socks are now mismatched. Her original black soft velvet Mary Jane shoes fit her well, and they are totally intact. She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. She is free of any odors, issues, or blemishes. Her honey color hair is still tied back in a replacement bow with a lovely style. Her hair is full with no missing plugs. Her face is an even color with a bright and even blush. Her sleep eyes open and close easily; they are unclouded with totally intact eyelashes. She shows no noticeable age or discoloration. The original adult owner enjoyed dressing and undressing the dolls in her collection. We left her as is to preserve her in the original found condition. She shows nothing detracting from her displayable condition. Her waist twists beautifully. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, splits, or obvious damage. She does not have any open seams or major noticeable detracting negatives. Her hair is uncut and close to the original style. We listed two other Edith/ Kelly/ Marybel face dolls this week from the same collection. She is truly one of a kind in her condition. Her face is colored exactly the same as her limbs. Her lips and cheeks are highly blushed. Her lips are full and pink. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls from an adult lady collector. She is moving and downsizing her vast doll collection. Many of the these dolls are from the 1920s through the 1960s; they may show some minor age for their age because they are between 100 and 60 years of age. Many of these were from the original owner’s collection of displayed, but not played with, dolls. Some of the older dolls were from her mother’s collection. These are all from a pet and smoke free home. They were well preserved with no odors or major issues. Please write with any questions. Featured here is an exquisite vintage Madame Alexander Elise Bride Doll, a beautiful blonde with shining flip curls in their original set and short waved bangs. She stands just over 15 inches tall with her veil. She is dressed in her original tiered lace ruffled gown which is TAGGED at the back ; see photos. S he has a wonderful long cathedral length veil with lace trim and a lace and tiny pearl trimmed cap. There is a beaded flower in pearls at each side, at the temple. The bridal cap is edged in pleated chiffon, a lovely vintage feature on this doll’s outfit. She has her original satin high heels; her original pantyhose split so they will not be included. NOTE: The bridal veil, satin panties and slip are all edged in the same PLEATED CHIFFON and match. The cathedral length veil, panties and slip are all ORIGINAL to her 1960s bridal doll attire. This doll can be displayed with the long veil flowing back behind her, or pulled over her head to the front — to show off to advantage the beautiful fabric flowers across the back of her lovely blonde wig. I have added a necklace of vintage graduated pearls to her bridal outfit and she has pearl drop earrings. She has a large satin bow at her waist in the front of the gown. I have also added a very full, very stiff vintage double layer lace and tulle slip to her outfit; it has an elastic at the waist and makes her very long, very full skirt display beautifully. This doll has the Madame Alexander “Marybel” Elise face with rosy cheeks, peach lips and beautiful mouth that is slightly turned down at the corners. She has fingernail polish in peach that matches her lips. She has painted two-stroke light brown brows, and all her brush dark eyelashes. She has open and close radial eyes in hazel blue grey. Her eyes are very clear with no “smokiness” from age at all. This doll’s wig is amazing; it is a burnished shining blonde, with tight curls in their original set all way round her head. She has short wavy blonde bangs. Her wig is double stitched at the crown of her head. Her body is the original vintage MA Elise multi-jointed body with joints at the ankles, knees, hips, neck and shoulders. She has wonderful even body coloring, no fading or yellowing or deep pink hue that some of these vintage dolls can get. I have had this doll stored in a darkened doll room inside a closed glass case, so she is very clean. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE. I take great care to wrap my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. I add box supports, air pillows, and bubble wrap to protect them in transit. NOTE: I will include a doll stand so that she will be ready for display on arrival. She will be insured and have signature confirmation to ensure she arrives to you safely.
