RARE – OUTSTANDING MADAME ALEXANDER – “McGUFFEY ANA”. VINTAGE COMPOSITION. Circa: 1935 – 1937 – - In Blue Swiss Dot. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. WoW – RARE doll in RARE original outfit. This McGuffey Ana is all original. Imagine, she is about 85 years old! For price reference see page # 19 – 20 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This girl is 23 inches tall. She is seldom seen. And to think that she is all original. It is obvious that she was never a play doll. She has no repainting and little to none crazing as examined by a black light. She wears an underskirt/panties: a pale blue swiss dot dress with rick rack and lace; a silk vest with matching bonnet and purse; white leather boots and cotton socks. Her original wig has two pig tails with pale blue ribbons. Her silk bonnet and parts of her silk vest and silk purse are melting because of age. I have not undressed her so that I would not tear any of the silk clothes. Her fingers are in excellent condition. Her brown eyes are excellent. And her facial painting is excellent. This is an outstanding example of an early composition Madame Alexander doll. Maybe a blue ribbon winner. From my home to yours. Delivered right to your front door. A FABULOUS DOLL “McGUFFEY ANA”. By MADAME ALEXANDER – Hard Plastic – Circa: 1950′s. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. Here is a fabulous Madame Alexander – “McGuffey Ana” hard plastic doll. She is 14 inches tall. For price reference see page #32 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This terrific doll is all original and is in mint condition. Her facial painting is like it was painted yesterday instead of in the 1950′s. Her hard plastic has no flaws and no splits in the plastic. She has no repainting as examined by a black light. Her dress is tagged as you can see in a photo. Her lace trimmed apron has a little age dust but can be cleaned if you think that is best. She has a nice blue floral print dress with lace on the arms. She wears her original lace trimmed slip and underpants. Of course, her long socks and her red leather shoes/boots are original. Vintage 1937 Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth. This lovely doll was cherished by me for many years & well cared for. She has tin eyes, human hair eyelashes & human hair wig. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders & hips & is tightly strung. She has absolutely No Crazing! She has never been retouched or repaired. She still wears her original hair ribbons, onesie, tagged apron, socks & oilcloth shoes. I have added a vintage hat from that time period. She does show some wear at her joints from posing. There is a tiny nick to her right pink (tiny part of pinky nail was chipped). Hard to find this beautiful doll in this condition! SMOKE & PET-FREE HOME (no odors). She was made from 1948 to 1950 by Madame Alexander. She is mint and all original. Just take a look at her facial painting – excellent. She does not have any splits or cracks in her plastic. However, I have not removed her clothing so as to maintain her originality. Just looks at the curls – they have their original set. What a wonderful doll.
