Her waistline is accented with a cabbage rose and spring flowers corsage! Underneath her dress, her crisp net tulle has some tiny holes here and there Im sure. Underneath her dress, her 3 layers of net tulle kind of sticks together and I dont want to pull the layers apart, as shes 71 years old. This doll is in un-handled condition, which is why she is still in mint condition. Gently lifting her net tulle from underneath, I see no major rips or tears, or anything remotely like that. Shiny, pink taffeta bloomers embellished with scalloped, Belgium Val Lace! Super shiny, red, mohair wig with braiding across the crown of her head and coiling at the sides! Her silk ballerina shoes are excellent. Vibrant feathered eyebrows, and lower painted lashes! Thick, upper sable lashes! Vibrant matte, cheek color and dark, Smokey eyes shadow! Also, beautiful palm and knee color. Composition is awesome due to the southern CA dry climate! I dont see any crazing which is very unusual. Please forgive light reflections showing as white spots. This flawless beauty is jointed with working sleep-eyes, real upper lashes/painted lower lashes & eyebrows and the beautiful facial coloring that is a hallmark of Lia’s dolls. Her auburn hair is in the original tight braided set. She wears a tagged, light blue broadcloth dress with white eyelet lace detail on the front and continuing down the back to her waist. The eyelet lace has some mild discoloration in spots and was received like this. Her neckline & sleeves are trimmed in white lace. She is in her original tagged clothing and retains her Margaret O’Brien clover tag on her wrist. This doll has stunning all original facial coloring, mohair wig, and sparkling eyes that open and close easily. The wig is in original braids with their original red ribbons. Her face and legs show little to no crazing. Her arms have some fine line crazing that you could use a product like compo craze on, if desired. I think she looks spectacular just as is. The dress is a soft fabric, like a rayon. There are no stains on the skirt and just a little brown spot on the back of the blouse by the snaps.
