This is a very pretty Cissette down wearing her original tagged satin gown. She has not been played with and the clothes are unwashed, but there is a stain on the backside of the dress and a few smaller spots all around, especially in the back. She also has her original flowers, fancy styled hair, hoes, underwear, and one heel. (one is missing and the elastic is stretched). She has no odors, stains or cracks. Beautiful faux diamond earrings. She has great color with nice bright cheeks and lips. Hair is in the original set, but is a bit mussed. A great doll to add to your collection. Vintage Madame Alexander 20 Cissy Bride Doll. This doll was won by my aunt back in the 50′s in a bingo game. She saved it for me and gave it to me on my 5th birthday back in the early 70′s. I loved the doll and played with her very carefully and with much respect for years. She is in excellent condition considering her age, however she is now missing her “diamond” ring that she came with along with the original “diamond” earrings. I lost those over and over again and my mother would frequently take vacuum bags apart to find them. She often did too, until that last time when it went finally missing. While the clothes are all in good condition, the original hangers for the pink box / closet area are now mostly broken and would have to be replaced or remade. All of the outfits shown above are included. There are also several more that would not fit in to the photographs. The drawer on the box pulls out for storage. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, Finish is satiny, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. MARGARET O’BRIEN Madame Alexander doll Child actress contemporary of Judy Garland and Others. She has Clear sleep eyes, Her Mohair wig is in loop braids and is in great shape. Her Pink jumper with ric rac is original. The lace blouse and panty combo are vintage replacement. The Coat set was obviously made for her and is of her day. This set has the muff, hat & bag with forget-me-nots adorned on the pieces. All pieces are Vintage and while having a old look are in pretty nice shape. Good vintage shoes and socks. These girls have the prettiest faces. More beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made (not what a 80 year old faded doll looks like). With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. Their imperfections are part of the charm of composition. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I line the head socket with suede. I have been a skilled Artist all my life.
