When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, Finish is satiny, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. MARGARET O’BRIEN Madame Alexander doll Child actress contemporary of Judy Garland and Others. She has Clear sleep eyes, Her Mohair wig is in loop braids and is in great shape. Her Pink jumper with ric rac is original. The lace blouse and panty combo are vintage replacement. The Coat set was obviously made for her and is of her day. This set has the muff, hat & bag with forget-me-nots adorned on the pieces. All pieces are Vintage and while having a old look are in pretty nice shape. Good vintage shoes and socks. These girls have the prettiest faces. More beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made (not what a 80 year old faded doll looks like). With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. Their imperfections are part of the charm of composition. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I line the head socket with suede. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. I have always loved these sheer shadow prints made of pastel organdy fabric. This one has Val lace and rhinestones. This sun dress came 2 ways– with and without a satin ribbon sash sewn at the waist. This is the version with the ribbon. This dress is crispy! It looks fresh and bright. When it came to me the lace had aged yellow. Whitened the lace and then gave the entire dress a quick rinse so as not to remove the sizing. Sun Dresses are hard to find and this is one is a FAVORITE among collectors. The item “RARE! Cissy Walks Her Dog.. Out for a stroll in the crisp afternoon air, Cissy and Dusty, her cute Cocker Spaniel, are really enjoying each other’s company. Please read description for flaws. This is a hard to find dress made of sheer printed nylon with Val lace trim on bodice, cuffs and collar. Three rhinestone buttons accent the bodice. Four smaller rhinestone studs accent the cuffs. The dress unfortunately has wear, tear and soiling. There is spotting and staining throughout. Lace trim has yellowed from age. There is a tear to the right side of bodice near sleeve seam as well as one on the bottom of the dress. Please see last two photos. The Dress has a Cissy tag which is worn most likely from washing (not by me). The dress most definitely could use a soaking to see if some of the stains would come out. The dress comes with a beautiful pale pink lace and ruffled tulle slip. The elastic waistband is stretched. It really flounces out the dress. Despite all of the flaws of the dress this would still display nicely on your Cissy doll. Comes from smoke and pet free home. Vintage 1950′s SLW Madame Alexander-kins Doll – Original Factory Dressed Doll– Gorgeous!!!! I’m not sure of her name but the hat popped up under “Wendy Adores a Party”? These dolls don’t look like they’ve ever had their clothes removed so I’m not going to undress them. This one is a gorgeous SLW with brunette hair that stands alone and head turns when the legs are moved. Her coloring is near perfect as you can see in the photos. Everything about her is crisp including her hat, dress, slip and underwear. Her slip and underwear may have turned color the slightest bit but not the dress, pinafore, or hat.
