Madame Alexander Dolls

This stunning vintage tagged Alexander Cissy dress is the very rare lavender model of the dress pictured in Kiley Shaws wonderful Cissy book, on page 60. This dress has very pale polka dots which do show up more pronounced in my picture than they do on the actual dress. The lavender is very soft, when I put it next to a pink dress you can see its evenly pale lavender all over. When I put it next to Elise little purple hat, you can still see its pale lavender. You can see in my picture of the slip that the dress is a lavender next to the quite pink slip, so I do not believe this dress to be a pink faded, I believe this dress to be what I have presented it as. You will need to make up your own mind on that of course. It ties in back with a wide soft bow of the same material, and does up in back with 4 square snaps. No rips, holes or tears in this dress, and I have not washed it. Im fairly certain it would have been gently laundered at some stage in. Its 65 year life, its hard to tell because the tag colour still looks clean and clearly read. Sleeve elastic still holds firm, Im not sure if this has been replaced at some stage, if so its been very well done. At some stage, the petticoat has had extra elastic cord added to tighten a loose waist line. And ask questions if I have left out something important to you. 1953 8 Inch Madame Alexander Quiz Kin. Blue Polka Dot Dress. Doll: Quiz Kin in great condition with working sleep eyes and yes & no buttons. No cracks, arms hold a pose, beautiful face. Nice triple stitched wig. Curl needs to be put back in place.
