Set of five composition dolls were marketed by Madame Alexander in the mid-1930s. They are fully marked on both the heads and bodies. They have sweet faces with lashed eyes, closed mouths, rosy cheeks, and brown painted hair. The chubby toddler bodies have rosy knees and each has the original dresses, undergarments, shoes, and stockings. The gold name pins are also still pinned to each doll. There is some light overall crazing, as common with. Composition dolls of this era. Some light overall crazing. Overall this darling matched set is in remarkable original condition. 13 inch Dionne Quintuplet Nurse Doll. This doll has had it’s composition cleaned, and professionally restrung. Doll has all of her fingers and toes. Composition has minimal rubs, chips, and crazing. This set is all original and has been cleaned and restrung. These dolls are hard to find wearing the loop lace party dresses. Clothing has been freshly laundered and pressed. The dresses are all tagged “Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets, New York, NY”. Clothing tags are all crisp and clear, and I have not noticed any holes or tears on any of the outfits. The ribbons in the dolls hair are replacement one’s which matched the same style as the original. Dolls still have their original brass safety pins on clothing, as well as their ORIGINAL brass name pins with each of the girl’s names: Annette, Cecile, Emelie, Marie, and Yvonne. Dolls still have their ORIGINAL shoes. The shoes snaps and soles are in great condition with no repairs!!! These doll have had their composition cleaned and then they were professionally restrung. From 1935, and super rare in this larger size! This is Madame Alexander’s Dionne Quintuplet Composition 24″ tall “Yvonne Baby Doll. (Measured from the top of her head, down her body, following the contour of her bent baby legs) She is in overall pristine condition, despite her age of 83 years! Please ZOOM in on all photos for closest detail. Yvonne has dark molded and painted hair in fantastic condition, she only has 2 extremely tiny rubs on the back (see photo, they are pea sized, any other areas in photo are from lighting glare ONLY) Her original factory face paint is vibrant and lovely. Open and close big brown eyes are original and clear, with all her real human hair eyelashes. Yvonne has a sweet smile that shows her 2 upper pearly white baby teeth, her head is jointed and can move side to side, with a shoulder plate. Cloth body is in wonderful condition, she has composition limbs. Her original crier inside her works perfectly. Her composition is in beautiful condition with the original factory sheen, and only the tiniest of light crazing that you must look very closely to even notice! Next to her left eye there is a small (pea sized) area that had paint flaking and was touched up also goes unnoticed unless you are looking for this. Sweet Baby Yvonne is wearing her pink bloomers trimmed in lace with her pink antique slip tucked into them, her lovely pink batiste embroidered baby gown, Matching pink ruffled brim antique bonnet, white nylon socks, satin pink baby shoe slippers, her white embroidered antique bib you could have her name embroidered on it if you chose to! I would have but my machine does not do monograms, and her pink button front textured silky jacket. Yvonne also comes with her sweet vintage teddy bear toy she is holding in her photos! They are in great condition. They are only missing the pins for their pampers. They box has a few flaws as shown in the photos. The dolls measure 7 in. They are made with hard plastic heads and soft vinyl bodies. The have brown painted hair and blue eyes and fused black eyelashes. Some eyes open and close by themselves and some need a little nudge.
