She is a stunning redhead with piercing blue eyes. Her wig is full and retains the original curl. Her eyes work as they should and have all of the original eyelashes. This doll is the Black Widow Cissy mentioned on Page #46 of The Cissy Files, Often seen with older wig from Binnie-Skull cap of rubber with rooted hair and thinker bangs. This is that Cissy. A rare find in excellent condition. There are no cracks, splits, chews, or odors to the doll. The only issue is on her left arm. The rhinestone and elastic bracelet she was wearing was stuck to her arm. When it was removed it left the tiny black marks that you see on her wrist. I do know that gloves will cover the marks, and if you want I will include the bracelet to cover them. The doll has gorgous blue eyes that work as they should, and all of her eyelashes. Condition : Cissy is in excellent condition considering she has been loved doll for many years. She is not perfect, but she is a beautiful doll. She is clean and does not have that sour hard plastic smell. I do not see any serious flaws with this doll however her head is a bit loose, but she does hold a pose well. Her eyes will open and close but sometimes her head must be adjusted. But for display, that is not a problem. Her coloring is nice, and her rich red wig is very thick and beautiful. There are some hairpins to hold curls in place and she will be wearing a hairnet to keep her style as it is. She is wearing a beautiful black taffeta after five tagged dress. Her stockings are original. Her undergarments were beautifully made especially for her. The shawl and jewelry she is wearing are very vintage. My Cissy did not have pierced ears, however I had earrings that go with the necklace, so I just hooked them to her hair. They could be glued on her ears, but Ill leave that to her new owner. Cissy’s outfit is complete with a Richards original feather bandeau hat and matching handbag. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave something out please look at the pictures carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old, and will not be perfection, as a new doll would be. I will also be listing doll clothes and other related items. She may not be perfect but I think she is just beautiful. She is clean and does not have that sour hard plastic smell. Her coloring is very pretty, a little subdued, but is original to her. Her auburn “updo” is neat and clean – still a nice shine. There are a few hairpins to hold curls in place and she will be wearing a hairnet to keep her style as it is. She has clear sky blue eyes, full lashes that open and close properly. She is wearing a gorgeous black velvet gown which is tagged. Her fur stole is Madame Alexander but not tagged – it does show some wear from display. Her stockings and undergarments are original. Her jewelry is vintage, however most of my Cissy’s do not have pierced ears and I couldn’t resist gluing a strand of matching earrings to her ears. These can be removed – I used Alleen’s tacky glue which is easily removed. Her vintage silver strap shoes are replacements and the elastic is a little loose. I truly hate to part with her but must downsize. Her one flaw, to my knowledge, is a small split at her knee. It has been filled to stop any further splitting, but couldn’t be realigned perfectly – please see last picture. Not mint but nice for display. Adult owned and displayed. Measures approximately 20 inches tall. Face paint is complete with higher color cheek blush. Working green sleep eyes and all lashes. There is some residue on one iris as shown. Wig is still in the original set but could use a little restyling. Body has tight joints. No crotch or leg splits. She will come dressed in her tagged original red day dress #2110. Red is still pretty vibrant but the sleeves are a bit dingy. Panty and “can-can” slip are discolored a bit with stretched elastic. Stockings have light wear with small holes in the toes. Shoes have decent elastic. Ears are not pierced. She is missing her ring. There is no “best offer” option on this listing.
