For your consideration; A beautiful Auburn hair Cissy doll from 1958…. This pretty Cissy retains her original blush and she has clear blue eyes. All eyelashes are present. She has pierced ears and would look pretty with rhinestone studs added. I have placed a vintage red ribbon in her hair. She has no cracks, splits or odors. Her head is a bit loose, although she still poses easily. Her hair retains her original spanner. She has no odors and is from a smoke free, pet free home. Madame Alexander Arlene Dahl Doll. I’m not sure if she’s unmarked, or if her markings are. Hidden under her wig. She’s in rough shape. She’s not broken but she has various marks on her body and face. I have not tried to clean her, other than wiping her off, gently, with a damp washcloth. Her eyes still function. Her hair is in the original style, however she has what appears to be moth chews on her wig. She has discoloration on one ear, the other ear has her original earring, which is tarnished. The outer layer of her dress is sun faded. It also has moth chews, the lining seems to be disintegrating, the snaps are all intact but are loose and there are loose threads along the back of the bodice. The under layer is in better condition. Also included is a slip/underwear combo which is probably discolored from age but is free of holes. Her shoes show wear, her stockings have a few small holes not visible when she’s dressed. She’s looking for a home that can help her get back to the beauty that she was. Items pictured are the exact items you will receive. We are a smoke free home. Marked “ALEXANDER” on back of head. Complete with original Earrings. Here’s a great “CISSY” for your collection. Her mature figure, jointed limbs and high-heeled feet made her a fashion doll classic in the 1950′s. Her body is hard plastic, and her arms are vinyl. Her head turns, and the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are jointed. Her “sleep” eyes work well and the lashes are full – see the photos. Her “lipstick” is intact with no chips or scratches to the color. Cissy comes complete with her original rhinestone earrings. Her wig, which is detached, is a redhead. Some of the original style can be seen but the wig does need some TLC. She is wearing panties that are stretched out and certainly look her age, but I don’t know if they were original. This Cissy is in excellent condition. The only issue can be seen in the second photo – One little piece of vinyl pops out of the arm joint when the arm is lowered – it can just be pushed back in to the joint – It’s mentioned here for complete accuracy. There is a MA full underslip to give full poufy body to the pleated skirt. She is wearing replacement stockings and shoes and there is a hole in one foot of the stockings. She has a small thigh split and tiny, inside the body top splits on the legs.. Fabulous redhead in blue beach outfit w/hang tag & box. This Cissette is a stunning redhead with wonderful facial color to go with it. She is wearing a 1950s blue beach outfit and still retains the hang tag on her wrist. The photographs are her best description (the box has wear and the picture shows the worst section). Her blue print cotton outfit is crispy mint; however her hat and silver heels are not. She is as I got her in the box. Her heel and hat elastics have stretched, and the hat has a small hole by the metal piece. This hair color is so difficult to find, and she wears her original turquoise earrings. The doll measures approximately 20 tall. She has a plastic body and vinyl arms. The doll looks to have been played with very little. The face paint is lovely, and the outfit is nice. Please note that there is paint wear on the eyelids, and what looks like a tiny bit of dried material by her right eye. This looks like something that is on the plastic, and not paint loss. I think this may clean off, but I have not tried. She actually needs a light cleaning, as she has sat for many years. The top of her hat is soiled, and there is a little bit of flaking to the flowers. She has spots on her feet, that look like is on the legs and not the nylons. It looks like the straps of her heels may be stretched. Her dress may be lightly soiled, but I nee no holes, pulls or tears. The hand tag is stained. The box is very rough, soiled, stained, faded, torn, taped etc.. Fair condition at best. This is a very nice old doll, with great display potential. Vintage Madame Alexander Large 20 Cissy #2084 In original box. What an unbelievable find! Stored in an attic for over 50 years, likely never handled or displayed. A vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander CISSY, #2084 in the original box. She is near to mint! The only problems she might have are a result of extended time in storage and we will try to outline those now. The clothes, back of the hair and such are flatted from such a long time in the same position and need to be worked with. What you see in the pictures is exactly how she came out of the box for the first time to be photographed. The other thing is the baby breath or posies on her hat are flaking off and the cord on her hat has broke. We removed the pins from her had so you will have to reaffix the hat. The box label is checked in both the blonde and redhead square with blonde being bolder, but she looks like a redhead to us! The only other thing to note is there appears to be a little glue spot on her forehead. We examined this closely and it appears that it was from the manufacturing of the doll and probably a little over spill or drip from the hair line. We honestly have no other explanation since she is mint in every other way. Original tag, clean and crisp. Very very light dust perhaps, almost unnoticeable. You might spend a little time “Freshening” her up, but lets face it, you can’t get new unless you have a time machine and this is as close to new as you can get. The box is the downside, dusty, stained and faded with a broken corner or two on the lid, but it did its job as it protected Cissy from the attic environment. This item MUST and WILL be liquidated. The doll is approx. Please look at all the pictures. My wife picked up this doll at a local sale with some other Madame Alexander dolls. She has not tried to clean the doll in anyway. This doll looks like it was never played with. The doll comes in her “Cissy” tagged original Black Velvet dress, slip, pantyhose, shoes, jewelry, original wrist tag, etc… This doll is gorgeous, my wife collects dolls and was very tempted to keep her for herself. Her eyes open and close with no problems, all of her eyelashes are there. Her body has no cracks. Please look at the pictures to see the whites of her eyes do have yellowing to them but she is still a gorgeous doll.
