Madame Alexander Dolls

Vintage Madame Alexander composition Scarlett. I have this treasure from the late 1930′s. A Madame Alexander Scarlett 11 inch composition doll. She’s quite pretty, and grabbed my attention at an estate sale. She does need eyelashes applied. Her hair is brittle and in original set. There does appear to be a section in back where her hair has been chopped. Her face has light crazing. Her clothing is faded due to age. Discoloration on pantaloons and netting on dress due to age. She does smell old, but nothing strong. Her left shoe needs to have paper bottom glued back on before if comes off. She’s a lovely doll that will display beautifully. Vintage Doll, “Madame Alexander Scarlett O’hara” is her name, she is a composition doll, who carries herself well. She is a Vintage Doll from the 1930′s. She has black hair and blue eyes, her eyes open and close, when she’s laying down her eyes close. She is 14 tall and she is a collector doll. She has a couple of cracks on her face and on her neck, and her joints are slightly loose, her dress has some sun damage, and the shoes have new soles. Otherwise she is in great condition for her age, she sits up on her own. She has her original hair pins on both sides, and a red bow holding her hair in the back. She has 2 sets of lace pantalones on. She has no other marks or defects on her body but She is really pretty and has a dainty. I have other dolls that are vintage as well, please take a look.. Beautiful vintage Madame Alexander 18 inch doll approximately 1937 – 1942. This well cared for Scarlett O’Hara doll from the movie “Gone with the Wind” is in excellent vintage condition in her garden party dress, with original pantaloons, hooped slip, shoes, socks, and hat is in great condition. She is composition doll and her composition is in excellent condition without any cracks, or repairs. Her green eyes open and close, she has eyelashes, eyes are very cloudy. Her stringing is slightly loose. Her painted features are all present. Her hair is original and is in good condition and has original tiny bobby pins. Her outfit is original and tagged with “Scarlett O’Hara”. I could not find pictures of this particular doll to compare the dress but the dress is tagged original. I have owned the doll for 47 years.
