Cissy wears a gorgeous fully satin lined two piece tweed wool suit. The top is sleeveless with 5 frogs over snaps for closure and four darts for the perfect fit. The pencil skirt has a split in the back. Over the suit, Cissy wears a fully lined 3/4s length black wool jacket, complete with turned up cuffs and collar. This outfit was specifically designed as an haute couture outfit by Karen Parker of sewspecialties238. In keeping with what ladies of the 50s wore, Cissy wears a white girdle edged with pink trim. Inside is a label which. Says Jean Styles for SB. Cissy wears black lace enhanced gloves and a small. Pill box style hat adorned with black netting, securely attached to her beautiful blonde hair with a crystal hatpin. Her ensemble is completed with seamed stockings, which have a couple of tiny holes at the foot, black strappy high heels. She wears a diamond ring and a graduated. Cissy carries a quilted faux Chanel style handbag. Cissys body is in excellent condition with no splits or cracks. Her lovely lush honey blonde coloured hair is perfectly coiffed into a full shoulder length curly do with bangs. Cissys face is the portrait of perfection. Her blue blue eyes are beautifully shadowed and open and close perfectly. She is delicately blushed and has full red lips. All her joints operate smoothly. This extraordinary black net gown with its ruched bodice and pleated straps, boasts a gorgeous triple-toned brooch. It gives way to a very full skirt embroidered with dainty light pink & ivory flowers & leaves. The scalloped hemline and matching stole are such a beautiful “finish” to a most stunning ensemble! Underneath Cissy wears a slip almost as extraordinary as her dress; made with black lace-lined satin & pink ribbon-trimmed tulle, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Matching black panties, vintage hosiery & original Cissy black sandals make “the look” complete. Finally, Cissy accents with gold & pink rhinestone earrings, a pink rhinestone bracelet & a faux “diamond” ring, and she carries vintage black gloves & a matching lucite purse with a gold strap. I have never redressed or did a thing to her but have kept her in a cabinet away from heavy light and sunlight. She is as the title states….. Here was the ad, I couldn’t say it any better than this. What is there not to adore??? The girl we all love is all dressed up in a spectacular recreation of the very rare satin afternoon dress #2035 from 1956. This gorgeous off-white gown was made with taffeta and to my knowledge is one of only two creations made. The sash of the dress is caught at the left waist with vintage florals, and another vintage bouquet rests at Cissy’s right shoulder. Hand-set rhinestones in various sizes are sprinkled on the bodice and the sash. Closure is at the back with 3 square snaps. Underneath is the taffeta and tulle slip, custom made for this gown, taffeta panties and vintage hosiery. Cissy chose to wear a gorgeous rhinestone jewelry set – matching necklace and bracelet – a big sparkler on her finger, and small little hoop rhinestone earrings. Note: this beauty did not come with pierced ears, her earrings were applied with a spot of completely removable glue. This is indeed a breathtaking, gasp-worthy Cissy!! She was produced in 1955 and was the only Cissy to have been blessed with this gorgeous light brown wig, which also has longer bangs and longer curls in the back. Her features are beautiful – matte, with lightly blushed cheeks. Her color is ORIGINAL with no touch-ups of any kind. There are not enough nice things to say about this beautiful doll. Elise has lovely shiny brown hair in its original set. Her coloring is fantastic. She has beautiful highly blushed all original facial coloring and a lovely all over tone to her skin. Her body is free of an cracks and and would be perfect if not for a stain on the back of her right leg. She was stored with an extra pink hat with pink flowers and I think the pink flowers must have. Color to her leg. It is really hard to see with her stocking on but when you take them off you can see the mark. I do not have a lot of experiences with Elise and most of the dolls I have had have been ballerinas. This Elise has a body I have not had before and she is made like a Cissy with a metal bar running through the middle and legs that can not be removed. All the Elise dolls I have seen before have had hollow bodies without the metal bar so I wanted to mention this because I found it to be very interesting. Elise comes in a beautiful pink dress made of a shiny polished cotton and with a beautiful texture to it. The dress is in excellent condition with no stains, holes tears or odors. The dress has a lovely bouquet of flowers at the waist that still look new and are absolutely beautiful. Under her dress she has a beautiful pink lace slip with nice tight stretch to the elastic waist. The only thing missing is Elises bloomers. She came to me wearing a girdle so for whatever reason the little girl who owned her changed out her underwear at some point in time. To me this is the only evidence this doll was ever played with as everything else seems really minty and in unplayed with condition. She has on nice stocking with no runs that I can find. Elise wears beautiful sliver spike heels with nice stretch. To finish off this outfit is an absolutely perfect pink cloche straw hat. The pink color of the hat is vibrant and it has not aged a bit. The flowers are excellent as well and match the dress perfectly. All together this is one of the prettiest Elises I have seen and she will be a stand out in your collection!
