Lovely vintage 1950s Cissy doll by Madame Alexander. Marked “ALEXANDER” on the back of her head. She measures 20 inches tall. Blonde (reddish tone) wig with some tightly rolled curls on her right side of her face. Hair is a bit mussed and could use a bit of styling. She does NOT have pierced ears. Hard plastic body with vinyl jointed arms. Blushed hands and knees. Really pretty face paint and a lovely sweet expression on her face. She will hold a pose. She sits and can bend her knees. Her head is a little wobbly. He eyes open and close. Some of her right eye lashes are missing. Her left eye lashes are full. She has a brass doll ring on her right hand original to Cissy???? and when removed you will notice there is some verdigris (discoloration) on her right ring finger from the ring being there for a long time. I have not tried to remove the discoloration. She is wearing a cute Tulip Print cotton circle skirt and matching blouse. The blouse is missing the snaps on the back so it is pinned in place. She is wearing what I believe to be her original Cissy Can Can rick rack taffeta slip with her panties with lace trim. The slip’s waist elastic has stretched out some. There are a couple of spots on the slip and a couple of small tears. Panties waist is fairly tight. Did not notice any tears or spots on the panties. The skirt and blouse has been freshly hand laundered and no spots or tears noted. I did not wash the slip or panties. Comes with her seamed stockings with elastic at the top. Elastic is in good condition and stays up. There is a small hole on the back of one nylon stocking at the calf. And noticed a small hole on the heel of her left foot. She has some rub marks on both sides of her neck. Rub marks on both side of her inner legs. No cracks noted on her legs or body. Small mark on the back of her right leg at calf where I think her stocking has gotten stuck on her leg over the years. I have not tried to remove the residue from the seamed stocking on her leg for fear of doing damage to her body. Will leave that to the doll experts. Small mark glue residue?? on the back of her upper left thigh right under her buttock. Her soft vinyl left arm has a small tear near the underarm. It was noticed when I pulled her arm a little further out of the joint. No chew marks on her hands. PLEASE look at all the photos and fully read the description. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll outfit from the 1950s-60s. Very good, gently used condition. No stains or tears. Half of the last snap on dress missing. Elastic on slip undies and sleeves a bit loose. Shoes were found with the outfit, but may not be original. Silk flowers on hat and dress are showing their age. Vintage 1957-58 Madame Alexander Cissette doll. Reddish blonde hair, triple stitched part. Wearing tagged gold brocade Queen gown. Original full slip with. Gold crown with rhinestones. Pear drop earrings and pearl necklace. Presented here is a fabulous 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissette doll. She has reddish golden blonde. Hair with a triple stitched part wig, still in the most of the original lovely curls. The eyes open and close freely, hard upper lashes, painted under lashes, single stroke brows, coral mouth, lovely coloring. She has pierced ears with pearl drop earrings and wears a wired pearl necklace. The doll is hard plastic, bent knee, good strings, holds a pose well, marked on the back; MME Alexander, no splits. She is wearing the original tagged dress, this is the “Queen” gown in gold brocade with a blue jeweled sash. She has the original full petticoat of cream taffeta with an inner ruffle and cream color panties. The shoes are cream satin high heels. The crown is gold tone metal embellished with rhinestones, it still has the gold elastic chin strap which has lost some stretch. All excellent vintage condition. Here is a complete outfit for your vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. It consists of a tagged dress, tagged slip, hat, purse, necklace, and high heels. The dress has always been one of my favorite day dresses for Cissy, and it is in excellent, unwashed condition. Rhinestones are intact and very sparkly, and the lace has not aged–nice and white. Has four secure square snaps down the back and an excellent “Cissy” tag. The white taffeta slip is tagged and has the red grosgrain bow, which makes it a much harder-to-find Cissy slip. The original elastic is still incredibly tight, and the slip has not been washed. It does have two pinholes–one straight down from the red bow, which you can see through the netting, and the other is on the back of the slip and can be seen in the picture of the tag. The slip has retained most of its original white color. The hat with open crown was made by rtrorich and is tagged Richard Original. The tan straw is edged with a pretty glossy red straw, with a bow in the back of the same straw. Richard later made the purse/shopping bag for me. It is of a different straw, but the same red straw trim was used. A pair of France Depose sunglasses are hanging over the edge. Works very well, as one earpiece is missing. If you have an earpiece in the clear plastic, then you would have a useful pair of sunglasses. As they are, they are a neat decoration for the bag. Necklace consists of a very narrow vintage red ribbon, which holds a lightly-engraved locket, and ties in the back of the neck. Included is a pair of newer-made red high heels. Probably original Cissy lasts, but not sure. I have shown the outfit on a Cissy doll, which is not included, so you can see how it would look on your Cissy. A great outfit to add to your collection!
