Im pleased to offer this extremely rare, and hard to find Gay Nineties purple Godey portrait doll. Cissy is from 1959. She is the strung doll with the slender non jointed arms. Lovingly referred to by collectors as the no neck Cissy. 21 tall with an adult body, and high heeled feet. All original doll to the tagged costume. This girl is so rare, that collectors sometimes have to find bits and pieces of this particular doll. Cissy wears her original costume consisting of her dress, slip, panties, hose, and jacket, as well as her hat. Okay, where was I? The tulle on her hat has been replaced. Im sure flowers have also been added to the hat as well as the jacket. Look at that jacket! She wears lace gauntlets, as well as her original earrings. The dress is pink taffeta, and it has been laundered and pressed. Not the best thing for vintage taffeta. There are wrinkles that I didnt try to iron out. There is a pin hole at the bodice that doesnt go all the way through the lining. It is also covered by the rest of the costume. A few small pinholes in the skirt. Also a few dark smudges along the back. Meaning, there is so much positive going on, I dont really get hung up on that. Use your own discretion though. Purple elastic sandals are newer. Cissy is in great condition. Many of these dolls have yellowed and their heads have split at the seams on the sides. Cissy has had very light blush added, and its been professionally sealed. Pretty, long, full auburn wig. Blue sleep eyes that stick slightly. One side of her eyelash curls up a bit. The lashes could be replaced so they wouldnt do this, but I say leave her as original as possible. You wont find this doll again in the near future. Beautiful HTF Garden Party Dress #2121, for Madame Alexander Cissy, 1957. This dress is a sheer pale green with pink rosebuds print and chartreuse bodice lining; with original pink satin tie bow. The rose at the waist ribbon was missing as they often are, and has been replaced with a similar vintage pink rose with leaves. The dress includes it’s original matching chartreuse yellow slip. Slip has a green tulle ruffle on both the inside and outside. Condition notes: The dress has a hole on the skirt at the side front; shown, and one area of small splits on the back, shown. The lace on the bodice has come loose in a couple of spots; shown. The sleeve elastic and slip elastic are both worn. The dress has its original “Cissy” tag. Listed here is a complete outfit, including tagged dress, for your vintage Cissy doll. I see some of these pieces come along fairly often, but this outfit is exceptionally nice, and I hope you’ll consider it if you’re looking for this particular one. The sheer green dress is nylon with pink flocked flowers. It is trimmed in green lace around the neckline and puffed sleeves, and it is lined in the bodice in chartreuse taffeta to match the companion slip and lace-trimmed panties. There are four square snaps down the back, all secure. A pink satin ribbon defines the waist and ties in a generous bow in the back. Its original corsage and greenery are in excellent shape. The straw hat is adorned with the same pink silky satin ribbon and has its original floral trim that looks great. The chartreuse taffeta slip and panties have had their elastic replaced with vintage pink rayon and rubber elastic, and it is nice and tight in both pieces. I have added to the mix a pair of vintage pink high heels with excellent elastic and a vintage gold-toned watch with pink elastic band. Never did like the look of the black high heels with this pretty dress. The dress, slip, and panties have not been washed. I started to press the ribbon streamers before taking the pictures, but I don’t think they have ever been pressed, and I wanted the purchaser (if there is one) to have the honor of doing that. The sleeves of the dress have had elastic woven through the stretched original elastic to give the right fit. I don’t see any spots, stains, tears, holes, frays, or other on the dress, slip, or panties. The slip could use a very light press. The lighting for the pictures is not doing the fabric justice. I have shown a close-up in two pictures of the fabric to show you that the little lines are present. They seem to appear and disappear according to the lighting. The Cissy doll that this outfit originally came on is modeling in the pictures, but she and her stand are not included. 1957 Madame Alexander CISSY doll in “Navy with Long Stole” outfit in very very good condition. She is 20 inches tall and a lovely red head in the bob hairstyle, with extra thick bangs. It is obvious this outfit is not original to this particular doll as you can see in the Cissy Files book pictured. This is a doll that has been redressed and she looks great. Dress is nice and crisp no damage at all. Hat is lovely with flowers and in wonderful condition along with her matching organdy long stole which also has flowers in great condition. Now both the hat and stole are a matching ivory color due to age. Her shoes are probably correct, and have the hollowed out heels, but her hose and slip are not, but suit the outfit well. As for Cissy she wears this outfit well with one half inch split on her upper left thigh that is hidden inside her torso. Otherwise she is beautiful with tight stringing, beautiful hair, and all her eyelashes are present and her eyes work well. As for her face I would guess she could have been tastefully reblushed which wouldn’t hurt her value. The ivory Cissette chemise is minty. Curlers and comb perfect and on their original card. Offered here is an exceptionally beautiful, HARD TO FIND brunette Madame Alexander Big Binnie Winnie Walker doll. She stands 24 inches tall and has a working walker mechanism, i. When you move her legs her head turns from side to side nicely. She has beautiful big blue eyes and red lips, rosy cheeks, all her lashes and painted brows. She has no marks or flaws on her face that I can discern. Her long, thick brunette hair is quite thick and she has short wavy bangs. On her head she wears a wonderful vintage black velvet bandeau with beautiful pink and white and deep burgundy ribbon roses and buds and little green leaves. It goes nicely with her pale pink dress and black strappy vintage shoes. She also comes with her original MA doll slip with its original neck and sleeve trim intact, and her original full cut panties which snap at the back of her waist. To her original outfit, I have added a darling dark navy blue corduroy dressy coat with white lace trim at the collar and white buttons. The coat has a flare skirt and long dark blue velvet sleeves. It fits her beautifully. She can be posed with or without the coat. I have also added a vintage bouquet of fabric flowers with vintage pink satin ribbons which she holds tied in her hand. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE. This doll has been part of my personal collection kept in a darkened doll room in my temperature controlled home. She shows no sign of any sun fading and has NO ODOR. I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit.
