Madame Alexander Dolls

I did not list much for quite awhile, as I was his caretaker. He and I were great collectors of many things. THIS BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF DOLLS ARE AT LEAST 70 YRS OLD. THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYED WITH, BUT STILL MOSTLY ORIGINAL AND SO PRETTY. CINDERELLA IS AS SWEET AS SHE CAN BE. PLEASE ENLAGE ALL PICS, AS THEY ARE HER BEST DISCRIPTION. HER EYES WORK PERFECTLY, AND HER HAIR LOOKS GREAT. HOWEVER, AS YOU CAN SEE, THE LINING OF HER GOWN HAS HOLES, HER SLIP NEEDS ELASTIC AND SHE IS MISSING HER HOSE AND SHOES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH DELICATE LITTLE THREAD CROCHETED SHOES, SOMEONE LOVINGLY MADE FOR HER AT SOME POINT. SHE HAS SOME MARKS ON HER LEGS AND MAYBE SOME SCUFFS OR RUBS HERE AND THERE. PRINCE CHARMING IS HER PERFECT MATCH AND SO HANDSOME WITH HIS BROCADE OUTFIT, INCLUDING HAT. HE HAS FABULOUS SOFT HAIR, ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE. THE ONLY THING I FIND WRONG IS HIS TIGHTS ARE SOILED, AS YOU CAN SEE IN PICTURE. THEY ALSO NEED NEW ELASTIC. IF YOU WANT ADDITIONAL PICTURES, JUST ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT. Please give them a good home. Please remember just how old these dolls are and played with. They may come with little marks, shiny patch or something minor. If I see anything obvious I will say so. Otherwise, please study pictures, they are the best description. Pretty 1953 “Wendy” 7 1/2 SLNW Heavy hard plastic. Green Eyes open and shut freely, and she is marked:Alex on her back. Her dark brunette wig is triple stitched with nice original curl. Skin tones slightly tan color, light pink on cheeks and red rosebud mouth. Wendy is wearing a pretty checked (white & blue) tagged dress, crochet lace around the neck and arms, pink appliques flowers on front. Buttons down the back with a belt that ties. Wendy has a few problems as I discovered after I got her home and started looking at her. Her left leg has the plastic hook replaced with a metal hook, she is still tightly strung, and you don’t see on less you pull her leg out. She has a spot of glue in the back, I didn’t see it till the camera light pointed it out, a small dent on the inside of left arm. Some of the pictures were taken outside trying to give true color. Dress for a Party “The Prettiest Girl You Know is Wendy”. Eyes open and shut freely, and she is marked:Alex on her back. Wendy has a very pretty face with great color, with pink cheeks, light brown eyebrows and rosebud mouth. She must have wore red at sometime since she has a very light pink on the inside crease of her legs. This Wendy dress took a lot of looking before I found it, can be seen on the Internet. Alexander kins/Wendy is dressed for a party in a pink nylon dress with flocked dots and pink & blue clover blossoms flowers. Pink satin bow ties in back. Has lace around bottom, neck and sleeves. (lace has yellow some from age, I sure if washed it would be white again). Has a darker pink lining on bodice of dress. White panties and slip that the waist has been tighten, not so white socks and white side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Her hat is vintage and might not be the right one, but she was wearing it when I got her. It is a light tan with pink flowers, since it lost the chin strap not sure how it fits. I found a picture of a blue dress 1956-57 on page 155 of Madame Alexander dolls are made to love by Marjorie Victoria Sturges UHL Some of the pictures were taken outside trying to give true color.
