Vintage Madame Alexander 8 1950s, Alexander Kins Doll, Straight Leg Walker. Her eyes open and close correctly, no splits in her seams. Her hair is in excellent condition, face has great color. She has a head turning walking mechanisim. Her sleep eyes open and close correctly. Shes marked Alex on her back and is dressed in her original white panty and black side snap shoes (fuzzy bottoms). The dress has a small black velvet bow mid-Peter Pan collar, and closes at the back with three white buttons. The pinafore ties with a large bow. This outfit is in excellent condition with no holes, rips or tears. Maggie wears her original white cotton panties, nylon socks, and original black side-snap shoes. This beautiful 1953 Madame Alexander doll is Binnie Walker. She was stored away and never played with. She is pre-Cissy, but has the same face as Cissy. She has no flaws, and has beautiful facial coloring, her blue eyes open and close freely, and she has thick lashes, with none missing. Her walking mechanism is in excellent condition. Her original gown is wonderful. It is violet in color and made of satin and layers of netting, with sprigs of old flocked flowers. Her straw hat is trimmed with velvet ribbon and flowers, and she carries a wonderful beaded bag. She also has on her panties, nylons, flocked shoes, a pearl necklace and bracelet. This is a Madame Alexander 17 Maggie Walker Doll, all original and in her box. She is in excellent condition. She is from the early 50′s and is made pf hard plastic. She has a Fashion Acadamy Award Sticker on the end of her box which Alexander won in 1951. The name of this doll was New York Designer. She comes with her little box of rollers and comb on her wrist. The gold thread attaching to her wrist is new. She comes with a little booklet that shows all the fashions available for her at the time. Her clothes are all original and in excellent condition. She has sleep eyes with all of her lashes intact. There are no smears in her lips. She still has cheek blush. There are a few hair pins in her hair. I don’t know if she came with those. This is a great doll. The box has some stains and the corners are rough with glue in some of the corners. There were a few pieces of masking tape to hold the lid on which I took off. The doll measures approximately 8 tall. The doll retains her original United Artists hang tag. The doll looks to have been played with very little. The face paint is lovely, and the outfit is great. The outfit has several small stains, the one on the back is from being in contact with a doll stand for many years. The walker mechanism works well.
