12″ Maria (Nancy Drew), 10″ Brigitta, Liesl, Louisa (Cissette) and 8 Gretl, Marta, Friedrich (Wendy Ann). “Some” of the dolls had their legs, arms, and heads that need to be restrung. To show them as they really look, taped their parts together to pose them. Condition – All the dolls (faces, eyes, hair, clothes) are in excellent condition, they were stored in a glass cabinet, and through time their rubber rotted, detaching some, not all, heads, arms and legs. Some need to be restrung as shown. 0 Cissette style Liesl is missing one of her brown high-heel shoes. All others have their original clothes, shoes, socks, stockings, hats and aprons in great condition. 12 inch Maria doll has the Madame Alexander Nancy Drew face and soft-plastic body. The three 10 inch teenage girls Brigitta, Liesl, and Louisa have the Madame Alexander Cissette face and bodies and wear high-heel shoes. The last three 8 inch Madame Alexander Wendy Ann face and bodies are Gretl, Marta, and the little boy Friedrich (also with knees that bend). I have over 1000 dolls. This is our precious 1953 Madame Alexander-kin Wendy Kin 8 inch Doll that is the heavier weight Kin doll with such a gorgeous face. Her complexion is light with pinky cheeks. She has rare gorgeous brown eyes that open and close nicely, and beautifully painted bottom lashes. Note in Photo 15 that we see a real tiny indent on the bottom rim of her right eye socket. Her triple-stitched hair is a darker blonde with some flyaways. She is marked ALEX on her back. She stands well and can pose her arms. Her body, arms and legs are nice but there is definite lighter discoloration to her leg area from exposure as noted in pictures. Just a sweet little angel. Her outfit includes: Kin tagged peachy-pink Swiss Dot Dress that is in very nice, crisp and clean condition. Her underpants and slip have the signature Kin embroidery on them. Both pieces are in clean condition but the underpants have some wear along the leg opening embroidery area with elastic a bit loose at waist. The half-slip is loose at waist too. She wears her Kin black side snap fuzzy bottom shoes with more current white socks. Shoes are in good condition with secure snaps but do have wear with the fuzz easily shedding now. Difficult to part with this sweetheart and hoping to find her a wonderful new home. Please do not hesitate to ask for any additional photos or closeups as we are parting with a family collection and want to make sure that you know as much as possible about her before purchasing her. We took numerous photos so, again, please do not hesitate to ask. We hope to find her a loving new home. Thank you very much for looking!
20 1/2 inch Madame Alexander 1930s composition Wendy Ann doll full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. No breaks no odors no cracks light crazing. Strung tight at the neck, shoulders and hips.
First let’s get the flaws out of the way on her: This doll was once proof why you pack these beauties in oversized boxes; she had quite the bump that split her head from a too-small box and it has been repaired. You can still tell, but the color is matched well. She has a small expansion line at the back of her head, and further repair there. This repair is over 10 years old now, and has not gone anywhere. It was properly pinned, epoxied and cured correctly. She has a line on her chin too; but it is reinforced inside of her head and will not go anywhere. Now, she retains beautiful coloring and has beautiful features. She is the 21inch Madame Alexander Fairy Princess with the Wendy face. Eyes open and close correctly; great composition on her body; no lifts or breaks. Just fine surface crazing and some scuffs to her fingers, which is all to be expected. Her wig is in good set, but she wouldn’t mind a trip to the hair salon. It may just be a touch sparse in the back; she is a strawberry blonde. She is the unmarked Wendy that crops up from time to time. She has her original dress, shoes and undies. Socks are definitely old and correct time period but I don’t know if they’re her’s. Her dress is in okay condition; like her, it displays well but has its faults. It is not dry rotted but does have some holes here and there, but otherwise solid. The trim isn’t too great. She is missing her wings, her crown and her wand. There is a tag; the text is faint. I have washed and (lightly) pressed her dress and undies. I would’ve left it alone, but the dress was as disgustingly dirty as it gets; to the point it looked a dark green versus steel blue. She is from a non-smoking home. Please send me any questions in case I’ve missed anything. Thank you for looking. She will be packed in an appropriately sized box; with lots of space and packing; wrapped in paper or tissue against her as not to damage her paint in transit.

The doll is made of hard plastic which is in excellent condition with intact stringing, beautiful face coloring, lashes, auburn hair and blue eyes. Her auburn hair is in it’s original set with curls on the upper sides of her head and still very shiny. Her floor length net veil does show small holes throughout the netting. Her tagged satin ivory wedding gown (shows a few stains) has long lace trimmed sleeves with puffy shoulders and a drop waist lined with stiff interfacing followed by a very full gathered skirt and attached petticoat, under pants, nylons and satin shoes. The bodice has loads of rhinestones with a lace trimmed sweet heart neckline. She wears a necklace of tiny white beads which is original and her fashion academy award gold wrist tag.
