Vtg Madame Alexander Cissy Doll Red Pinafore w Red & White Striped Blouse Hatbox. Clothed in this vibrant red cotton pinafore with the coordinating red & white striped blouse, Cissy is just as pretty as a picture! Her outfit is crispy fresh with no stains or tears. She is wearing hose, panties and white sandals. Her pretty dark hair is still in the original set of curls with two original hairpins. She has long black eyelashes and pouty red lips. Her jointed body is in very good condition, the only issue I can find is two scratches on her right legs. I do not have her original box, but will make sure that she is packed very carefully. Vintage 50′s Mme Alexander 10 Cissette White Ballerina Doll AO in Box. Scroll down for larger views. This doll is Cissette Ballerina, made by Madame Alexander in the late 50′s. She is 10” high, all hard plastic, jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips, & knees. Her face is flawless, with bright coloring, original paint, blue sleep eyes, tan brows, red lips, and rosy cheeks. She wears her goldlen-blonde original triple-stitch wig, in pristine condition. The body is also excellent, with great coloring, tight stringing, and bending knees. Alexander on her back. Cissette wears her gorgeous white ruffled net tagged tutu with satin bodice and attached panties. Decorated with pink & dark red fabric flowers, with a matching sprig in her hair. She also wears hose and pink ballet slippers, tied with satin bows. There are crystal drop earrings in her ears. Cissette comes in her original box (#823). The box is also excellent. This is a beautiful little doll, as close to mint as a 60 year old doll can be. She was obviously never played with or displayed. It is unclear how old this doll is. That consistently say 1952 yet Patricia Smith’s “Doll Value” 10th ed. States that this 18 version was made from 1939-42. Whatever the case, she is in excellent condition. The only thing that prevents me from listing her as mint/ near mint is that her hair is slightly mussed and, although she will stand unassisted, she is loosely strung and won’t hold poses. Her arms and legs are rigid, of course. The items I’m auctioning were bought new by my family and have been stored in various locations over the years, all of which were smoke free environments. I have cleaned any dust and dirt as best as possible before photographing them, but some will undoubtedly remain. The photographs should be referred to for details about the condition when I do not provide specifics. Additional photographs are available upon request and I welcome any questions.
